Toddler!Reader X Orimura Chifuyu

"Chi-tan! Mite! [Look]" a child-like voice sounded in the relatively large household as footsteps were heard. Chifuyu lowered the magazine she was reading as she glanced at your scrambling figure. You covered her view of your large smile with a childish drawing. It has a small boy stickman and a taller female one. They were holding hands as pets were by the bottom right side. The background was a living room. Chifuyu sighed. She ruffled your hair with a blank expression. "Good job, (Y/N)." Hearing that, you lowered the paper and made eye contact with her, a large grin on your face as you dashed away, finding something else to play. Chifuyu waited till you left her sight, a ghost smile on her pale features. Why was Chifuyu taking care of you? Well, why don't we start from the beginning?

Ding Dong. Chifuyu sighed as she stood up, dragging her exhausted body to the door. She looked through the window, seeing a familiar green-haired teacher standing behind the metal gate with a closed-eye smile. Chifuyu sighed again, opening the house door as she shouted to Maya, "You can come in!"

Maya walked into the Orimura's front porch, stopping there. Chifuyu was walking back to her sofa but turned around as she sensed Maya stopping. Her gaze slowly landed on the little (h/c) haired boy holding onto Maya's hand as he hid behind one of her legs, staring shyly back at Chifuyu. Chifuyu's eyebrows furrowed, moving her gaze back to Maya as Maya smiled sheepishly. "Ano, Orimura-sensei, can you take care of (Y/N) for me? I really need your help! There's no one at my house so I need you to babysit him," Maya quickly explained, her free hand grabbing Chifuyu's one as she looked at her with a pleading expression. Chifuyu released her hand from Maya's hold as she pinched the bridge of her nose, eyebrows furrowed even more.

"Wait wait. You want me to take care of him? Are you sure? You don't know how bad I am with children," Chifuyu stated, glancing at the small (s/c) boy. Maya smiled, pushing you nearer to Chifuyu as you stepped back a little, nervously peeking up at the tall raven-haired female.

"It's totally fine! I'll leave him to you then. Ja ne~" with that, Maya shut the door, leaving a stunned ravenette and a frightened little boy. The quiet toddler slowly moved away from the towering female as you hid behind the couch, wearily looking at Chifuyu. Chifuyu sighed for the umpteenth time as she tried to approached the (h/c) coloured hair boy.

"Hey, little guy. What's your name?" Chifuyu cooed softly, trying to get you comfortable with her. You stayed quiet, watching her every move. Chifuyu looked around and noticed a bag of chips left by Ichika, her brother. She took the chips off the counter as she tore it open, taking out a chip and offering it to you. You remained quiet, but Chifuyu caught the twinkle in you eyes as she showed the chip. After a few seconds of silence, Chifuyu gave up and ate the chip she had offered.

A sad hum came from you as tears formed in your eyes, your small (s/c) palms making a grabbing motion. Chifuyu widened her eyes, before hearing a loud wail from you. She panicked, quickly making her way to sit beside you on the couch as you cried out loud. Chifuyu started sweating. "H-hey, don't cry. Here," she took out another chip and placed it in front of you. Your wailing slowly calmed as you stared at the chip in front of you. You hesitantly took it from her fingers and nibbled softly on it, occasional hiccups coming from you. Chifuyu sighed in relief, this is going to be tough.

After cleaning your tear-stained face with a tissue, Chifuyu was about to consume another chip but noticed the look you gave her from the corner of her eye. Your large puffy eyes stared at her, your lips forming a frown as you glanced at the chip in her hand. Chifuyu looked at her chip, closing her mouth as she gave you the chip. You eagerly took the chip from her and nibbled on it, quickly finishing it off. A small smile appeared on her face as she watched your adorable actions.
