Neko!Miku X Reader

"One by one please!" A registrar shouted over the large crowd of talking people. You were in the crowd too, pushing yourself through the crowd of people as you came over to the registration table.

"One person for me," you said, placing the ticket in your hand onto the table with a shiny maroon cloth over it. The registrar nodded and took your ticket, putting a stamp on it and returning it back to you.

"You may proceed, mister. Hope you enjoy the show~" the registrar said cheerfully as she gestured at the door on her right. You bowed deeply, thanking her before heading towards the door.

Upon entering, lights of the colour spectrum and excited chatter engulfed you. Overwhelmed by the setting, you gazed in awe at the performing theatre. It was a covered arena. Even though the original white fluorescent lights were off, the stream of moving and blinking coloured lights filled the theatre with visibility. Your heart started beating at a faster rate as you felt adrenaline rushing through you, a smile unconsciously slipping onto your lips. The beat of the pre-concert music was getting to you as you started bobbing your head to the beat. More people streamed in as the chatter went up louder. You felt as if this will be the best day ever.

Everyone quieten down when the MC said that the show was about to start. The silence was unusual for such a huge group of people as the fans awaited for the appearance of their precious teal-haired idol. "And now, for the moment we've all been waiting for. Please welcome, Hatsune Miku!"

The moment the teal-haired beauty stepped up onto the large stage, the crowd immediately roared with cheers and whistles. You had to block out your ears as to not become deaf. Hatsune Miku gazed down at all her fans as she grinned happily. "How are you guys?" she greeted.

A chorus of  "Excellent!" resounded in the theatre. Miku giggled at her audience's enthusiasm.

"Yosh! I'm going to start with <World is Mine>. Sing along with me!" Miku announced, bringing another uproar of cheers from the crowd.

After the consistent performances of her song, Miku stood on the stage taking deep breaths to calm her breathless self as she smiled at the ecstatic faces of her fans.

"Alright, one last song. I'll sing a duet with one of you guys!" Miku announced as the chatter got even louder. "Alright. Who will I choose, I wonder?"

You stood in the crowd, waving your (f/c) glow stick as you gazed expectantly at Miku, hoping that she'll notice you. However, Miku kept looking away from you to search for another area as you were on the extreme right side of her in the crowd. Your hope started to fade as you mused, 'I'm pretty sure she'll pay more attention to those in front of her instead of the sides.'

Miku scanned the sea of people and something caught her eye. In the crowd of people, there was a bright (f/c) colour glow stick among the typical colours of glow sticks. Miku smiled as she pointed at the person with the glow stick. I mean, who wouldn't be curious of the unique one.

You connect gaze with Miku as she pointed at you with an adoring smile on her features. The people around you were extra chattery, thinking that Miku was pointing at them. "The one with the (f/c)-coloured glow stick, please come up on stage," Miku said as she did a 'come here' gesture. You stared at her with your jaw wide opened, not believing that this was reality. Out of everyone, you?! Why? Even you were doubting yourself. However, among the audience, you were the only one holding onto a (f/c)-coloured glow stick. A large smile lifted on your face as the crowd parted to let you pass. Some were cheering in encouragement while some are still grumbling about not getting chosen. You didn't pay any mind and just headed closer to Miku, your heart thumping extra fast in excitement.
