It was the day, when Sheele died. Everyone had been in an emotionless mood. Mine had locked herself in her room, Boss had been quiet, like all the other members of Night Raid.

Akame sat on the dining table, staring at the plate of dango's that she had made. "Hm? Aka-chan? What are you doing here?" A deep yet gentle voice sounded. Akame turned around to see a tall male with casual clothes, a pair of (e/c) eyes and a mess of (h/c) hair, pulling out the chair beside her and sitting down. She turned back and continued staring.

"Her favourite food, huh."
She hummed. You sighed, pulling Akame in for a hug. She leaned her head into your chest as you placed your arms around her, resting your chin on her head. Her silent sobbing, could only be heard by you.

That day, everyone had been preparing for the mission in the evening. It was an ordinary day, before the tragedy happened.
Nobody except Mine knows what exactly happened, only that the result was revealed to them. Sheele had left without saying goodbye.

That afternoon, Akame was preparing lunch for the members, staying in the kitchen while every member of Night Raid conversed on the dining table. You peeked into the kitchen, seeing Akame cooking with a smile. You stealthily crept behind her and hugged her waist from behind, surprising her. She giggled softly patting your head as she continued cooking. "Hey, my Aka-chan." You cheerfully called.

"Hey, my gentle giant." She smiled. You and Akame had been dating since 1 week ago, and everyone agreed and congratulated you two. You were happy with her just as she was.
"Wanna help?" she asked, looking at you from the corner of her eye as she skillfully flipped the omelette that she was cooking. You happily nodded.

For the following minutes, you tried helping her prepare the meals in everyway, but always end up failing. When you were helping to wash the vegetables, you only tear or ruin them. When bringing a pot, you will always end up tripping over nothing and falling down, which made you laugh awkwardly while Akame smiled.

However, during the whole process, instead of getting angry, Akame giggled at your failures. You were glad that you made her smile and temporarily forget about the promise to kill her imouto.

At night, after everyone was done with their respective missions and went back to base, Mine was the last one who came back, but Sheele was nowhere to be seen. Boss had asked where she was, but Mine kept quiet and looked down. Everyone knew instantly, Sheele was dead.

"Still thinking about her?" You asked, bringing Akame out of her memories. She nodded softly. "Yeah, me too. She was a good Aneki." you commented, wiping off the tears on Akame's cheeks. "Come on, let's eat. It's bad to waste food." You fed her one of the dango stick while you ate one. The last one was left, you and Akame decided to leave it for memorial. She hugged you again, hiding her face in your shirt.
"Promise me that you'll never leave my side. Promise that you'll survive." Her muffled request audible enough for you to hear. You smiled softly, lifting her head up by her chin and pecking on her lips, staring deep into her eyes.

"I promise."
