You walked through the market place in Magnolia, scanning and observing the items sold by various sellers. There were many things that interests you, like armory, weapons, scrolls of spells, magic accessories, and much more. However, you did not have the intent of buying anything. Why? The money that you were saving up was for the rent of your house. What about food, some of you ask. Well, the guild's got it all. Alright, let's begin from the top.

Your name was (Y/N). You had spikey, yet fairly long, (h/c) hair. Your eyes were a shimmering (e/c) colour, glowing even in the darkest of nights and brightest of days. You were from Fairy Tail, the guild you consider your home, your family. A (f/c)-coloured Fairy Tail insignia was visible on your (insert body part). It looked cool, that's what you thought when you chose what and where to put your insignia. The Grand Magic Games had just passed, same with the disaster that followed. It was peaceful for now, at least for Fairy Tail. I mean, when goes by a day when Fairy Tail isn't chaotic? Ahem, back to topic.

Today, you decide to just have a day off and have a look around town. Due to the loss of seven years in your life, the GMG and the disaster, you hadn't had much time to look around the town that had changed over the years. Suddenly, you felt a bump on your chest before you heard a thump. Someone had ran into you. You peered down and found a familiar redhead. You grew a smirk. Holding out your hand, you waited for the female as she glanced at you with narrowed eyes. She finally took hold of your hand and you yanked her up, her armour clanking. "What'cha doing here, running around in a market, my beautiful Erza?" [A/N: Expected me to say Flare aye?]

Erza dusted off the dust on her skirt, looking back at you. "Coming back from a job. And don't start with me," she stated strictly, gesturing towards her usual trolley full of luggage and throwing a sharp look at you. You raised up your hands in defense, backing off.

"Alright...princess- Ow! Ok ok!" Erza hit you on your head in the middle of your sentence before you finally gave up. She sighed, holding onto the rope for the trolley as she walked past you.

"See you at the guild." You watched as Erza walked away, further and further. You shrugged, continuing on with your stroll.

You arrived back at your house, hands in your pockets. It was a small cottage, having only one floor since you don't stay in the house that much. The landlady often comes round every week to check on the conditions of the house, mostly taking chances to flirt with you while you, being you, flirted back and had fun. As you walked into your front yard, a strand of red hair caught your eye. You rounded the side of your place, finding a familiar female. "Flare?"

The mentioned girl lifted her head at your voice, looking at you with her large red eyes as dried tear lines were visible from her eyes down to her chin. Flare sat on the grass, arms hugging her knees close to her chest. Bruises were evident on her pale skin, mud and dirt on her usual vibrant red dress. "(Y-Y/N)..." she called softly, tears starting to well in her swollen eyes as her pale lips trembled. You quickly bent down, dusting off the dirt on Flare with a serious expression as she sobbed quietly. You lifted her up, bridal-style, and entered your house.

You wrapped a towel around Flare's shoulders as she came out of your bathroom, wearing the smallest clothes you have. Mumbling a 'thanks', Flare settled in an armchair. You sat in another armchair, arms resting on the armrest as you sighed. "What happened." Flare fidgeted with the mug of hot chocolate she was holding onto, not saying a word. You waited, but Flare did not reply. "I'm your childhood friend. The least you could do is let me know what's up with you," you stated, lifting your left leg up so that the ankle rested on your right knee.
