Hinata X Reader

A trail of smoke was left as you skid away from impact, coughing out blood as you glared at the smirking enemy ninja in front of you.

Taroku Hanaki laughed at your misfortune as he adjusted the knocked out blond on his shoulders. "Is that all you've got, kid? You're pathetic, calling yourself a ninja," Taroku taunted, having his free palm on his forehead as he laughed loudly. Then, the ninja jumped away as soon as a kick was swept at him, successfully dodging an attack from the dark blue-haired Hyuga nin. Hinata landed as she landed, panting and clutching the bruises that had formed during the fight with Taroku.

You growled as Taroku tried to do a sneak attack. As soon as you felt a shift in the air, you threw your legs behind you in an instant. You grinned as you heard a grunt and the soles of your shoes came into contact with something. You back flipped from the momentum and did swift hand signs. "Water style: Water Tornado Jutsu!" You blew out a gigantic water tornado that hit against Taroku's back in mid air as the latter widened his eyes and flew into a tree 50 metres away from the position of the two Konoha ninjas.

You, Hinata and Naruto had been sent on yet another mission to try to retrieve Sasuke from Orochimaru by the new 5th Hokage, Tsunade, under Naruto's request. However, the blonde idiot had gotten himself drugged and knocked out by one of Orochimaru's men, Taroku. So you and Hinata chased after the said man, starting an all out fight to get Naruto back.

"(Y/N)-kun, you alright?" Hinata asked in her soft voice yet firm voice as she activated her Byakugan and tried to find the enemy nin, giving out heavy breaths. You cursed silently and winced as you felt a striking pain in your lower right abdomen, knowing that a bruise is forming.

You wiped away a trail or blood from your lips as you grinned mischievously. "Heh, I'm fine. Thanks for worrying, Hinata-chan." The way you addressed her made the long-haired kunoichi blush. "How about you?"

"I-I'm fine, (Y/N)-kun." Hinata blushed but quickly shook her head to focus back on reality. "Naruto-kun's on the ground, about a few metres from Taroku, so if we quickly get him, we can be on our way," Hinata explained calmly, before a blur of (h/c) swept past her, a grin on your bruised face.

"No questions asked!" You announced, sprinting towards the two fallen ninjas that flew from your ninjutsu. Hinata nodded firmly and deactivated her Byakugan, saving her chakra as she chased after you.

You quickly grabbed Naruto up from the ground by his collar and instantly shot away, trying to escape from the enemy as you knew that you two were no match for him. Hinata tried her best to keep up with your pace, but suddenly yelped as her momentum was cut short and a thin chakra string had wrapped around her ankle. Your eyes widened in alarm as you stopped and watched in horror as your comrade got pulled away from you at incredible speed back towards Taroku. You heard a loud snicker far away and cursed angrily. You were frozen for a moment, contemplating on whether to leave Naruto here, where he would be vulnerable, or bring him to get Hinata, which might hinder you and most highly expose you to attacks as you needed to take care of two of your friends. You cursed, gritting your teeth as you bolted back towards Taroku, knowing that the smirking ninja was gleefully waiting for you, with Naruto asleep under your arm.

"Ahha! Back for more I see," Taroku taunted, his eyes glowing in excitement as his curse mark covered almost half of his body. He chuckled and leaned on one foot, swinging a kunai knife casually as he had a glaring contest with you. You stood on top of a tree branch, staring down at the smirking ninja with a blank face. You let go of Naruto, so that your chakra wires would bind him to the tree that you were standing on, hopefully to keep him safe while you fought against one of the snake's men to get Hinata out safely. "Well, I should've expected it since I got your friend over there." Taroku snickered as he gazed behind him. The blue-haired kunoichi was tied to a tree with chakra strings and an uncomfortable look on her features as Hinata squeezed her eyes shut, terrified of making any movement as she knew she would be dead with a kunai knife pressing right against her throat. You growled as you watched your friend in such a pitiful and vulnerable state and jumped down from the branch, preparing for the fight with Taroku. The brunette laughed as he gripped tightly on the kunai knife that he was playing with and stood in a stance. "Let's dance, shall we?"
