Chapter 35 – Guilty?

Trisha’s P.O.V.

I was staring at the roses Justin got me but I didn’t really see them until a spec of white caught my eye. I focused on the flowers and realised that there was a note in the roses. I crossed my room in two seconds and dug out the note. I unfolded it to reveal Justin’s loopy writing. It wasn’t a long letter, but long enough and meaningful enough to make me smile.

I’m sorry for everything that I said before. And you were right, I was being selfish, but I’ve thought over everything and I want us to work this out together, even if that means that you’re here and I’m in Atlanta, I love you and I believe we can pull through. The big question is though… are you? And I don’t expect you to forgive me straight away, but please don’t hate me, because it’s killing me the way we’ve been lately. So… I’ll see you Monday. I love you, Justin x

“We’ll see you later mum!” I called opening the front door.

“Bye girls!” she called back.

“Bella come on we’re gonna be late!” I called up the stairs.

“I’m here, I’m here!” she shouted running down the stairs, “bye Jodie!”

“Bye!”

“What took you so long?” I asked as I closed the door.

“Nothing” she quickly said and sprinted down the stairs to where Christian was waiting. Only then did I realise that he wasn’t alone.

Justin was standing on the pavement looking up towards me.

“Um, we’re gonna walk along yeah?” Bella said awkwardly taking Christian’s hand and pulling him away.

I gave her an apologetic smile and she returned it with one of her genuine ones.

I looked back at Justin and he was still intently staring at me waiting to see how I’ll react. But to be honest with you, I have no idea what to do.

I walked down the steps and stood about two feet in front on him.

“Hey” he said with a small smile bringing up the corner of his lips.

“Hey” I replied scanning his face, drinking in every detail. Only now do I realise how much I’ve actually missed him.

“Take a picture babe, it’ll last longer” he said with a chuckle.

I grinned at him and I saw relief wash over his face.

“Look I really am-“

“Don’t say anything” I cut him across and closed the distance between us crushing my lips to his. He kissed me back hungrily snaking his arms around my waist.

We stood there for God knows how long till I pulled away to catch my breath.

“God I’ve missed you” Justin whispered into my ear.

I giggled planting a kiss on his neck, “I’ve missed you too”.

“So I’m guessing you read my note” he said taking my hand as we began our walk towards school. Bella and Christian must have walked quickly because they were no where in sight.
