Chapter 34 – Sorry Doesn’t Cut It

Jacob’s P.O.V.

“Gracie, come on, we have to go” I said to her back. She’s currently standing at my window just staring at the world below, “Gracie seriously” I came up behind her and wrapped my arms around her waist and buried my face in her neck, “we really have to go”.

“I don’t want to go” she said in a far away voice.

“What d’you mean?”

“It’s so nice here” she said after a while, “so peaceful, so quite. In Miami it’s way too crowded, too popular”.

“Well that’s the charm of it”.

“More like curse” I chuckled at her response and started pulling her away from the window, “no! no!”

“Grace come on, you can’t stand under my window forever” I said annoyed.

“Oh yes I can” she tried freeing herself from my arms but I tightened my grip.

“You’re beginning to sound like a looney” I said chuckling.

“You did not” she snapped turning in my arms to face me.

“I did honey” I placed my lips on hers but she pulled away.

“You’re a jerk you know?” she said furrowing her brows.

“I know” I said shrugging my shoulders, “but you love me for it”.

“You are so cocky” she muttered shaking her head.

“That’s my charm” I said with a grin.

“Or curse” she repeated her earlier response.

“You little” I started tickling her and she cowered in my arms.

“Jacob… stop! Okay… I’m sorry… hey we’re supposed to go right?” she fought against my attack till she was kneeling on the ground.

“So now you ready?” I asked her.

“Yes” she said from the floor.

“Let’s go then” I said pulling her up.

Trisha’s P.O.V.

“Okay guys let’s go” mum said to Jacob and Grace. I watched from my place at the door as they gathered their things and were ready to leave.

“Aw don’t look so sad, I know you’ll miss me and everything but the feeling is not returned” Jacob said scratching his head and making an awkward face.

“You are way too cocky for your own good” I said shaking my head at him and smiling weakly.

“Sis cheer up” Jacob came over and pulled me into a hug, “everything is going to work out between you and Justin, I’m sure of it”.

“I hope” I said quietly.
“I’m sure of it” then he added in a whisper, “I’ll miss you sis”.

“I’ll miss your cocky ways too twin” I whispered back.
