Chapter 23 – How It Should Be

Trisha’s P.O.V.

“Guys we’re gonna be late if you two don’t hurry up!” Maggie called from downstairs.

“On our way mum!” Wicky called back picking up her bag, “we take way too long getting ready” she said to me walking towards her bedroom door.

“Well, we’re girls, we need our time” I said winking. I picked up all my stuff and followed behind her.

“Finally” Maggie said as we arrived at the bottom of the stairs.

“Sorry about that” I said.

“Well, you are girls right?” Maggie said smiling.

“Yeah, that’s our charm” I said laughing.

“Yeah, charm the boys guys” Maggie winked making both me and Wicky turn bright red.

“Mum” Wicky mumbled.

“What? I was once your age as well you know” Maggie said defensively.

“That must have been ages ago” Wicky mumbled to me.

“I heard that” Maggie said leaving the room.

Wicky rolled her eyes behind her.

“So you’re saying to me that I am going to step into that school and there won’t be any Kyle for three days?” Wicky asked as we entered the schools parking lot.

“Yup, and you won’t see me, Justin or Chaz after school for the rest of this week” I said to her.

“Oh detentions right?”

“Yeah, me and Justin still have to do those for that hall break in thing”.

“Oh” Wicky said winking, “you’ve found yourself a bad boy haven’t you?”

“Shut up” I said nudging her with my shoulder smiling from ear to ear.

Justin’s P.O.V.

“Course I’m glad the way stuff has turned out, but that doesn’t mean I have forgiven Kyle” I said to Chaz as we rounded the corner to school.

“But you’re gonna have to, for Trisha” Chaz said thumping me on the back.

I shook my head, “I don’t see why she forgave him so easily”.

“She’s a girl Justin, they all do weird things”.

“Still”.

“Justin just stop, he’s not a threat anymore” Chaz said expressed.

“It’s not about that” I said as we entered the parking lot.

“Then what is it about?” Chaz asked throwing his hands up.

I sighed. To be honest the only reason I am mad is because in a way Trisha defended him yesterday, she stood behind his back and not mine.

“You know” I said, “it doesn’t really matter, I guess I’m just in a bad mood”.

“Whatever dude” Chaz said shaking his head.

 ***

“Hey that’s not fair” I said reaching across the table, “give it back”.
