Chapter 5 - Gossip (Part 1)

Trisha’s P.O.V.

My alarm woke me up at 9am. I lazily reached out and turned if off. Then I rolled over onto my back not realising I was on the edge so I fell out of bed letting out a surprised scream. I heard rushed footsteps down the hallway and then my dad was standing in my doorway in his

Homer Simpson pyjamas. I looked up at him from my place on the floor bundled up in my covers.

“Is everything okay?” he asked me worried.

“Yeah, I just fell out of bed and got a little freaked out”.

“Oh okay, well, your mum has gone to get us some groceries so you can just get ready because we have to wait for breakfast”.

“Okay” I said giving him a smile.

Then he left my room closing the door behind him.

The real reason I screamed was because I had a dream I was watching the boy play when someone recognised me and the paparazzi were on my case in no time. I tried getting away but I couldn’t, so I started to walk backwards, till I found myself at a cliff’s edge (don’t ask how) and when I fell out of bed I thought I’d fallen of the cliff, so I screamed. I don’t like these types of dreams, they freak me out for the whole day.

I untangled myself from my covers and got up. I was meeting Wicky later on in the mall so I had to get ready. I also had to make sure I looked okay as I was likely to make the internet by night. The paparazzi don’t leave you alone if they can help it.

I looked out my window and there was a thin layer of snow which meant it must be pretty cold. Also there was no paparazzi so that’s a bonus. I turned around and went for my wardrobe. I picked out some black skinny jeans, white tank top, purple cardigan, my grey jacket and some tan coloured buckle up boots. That’ll have to do. Then I went to the bathroom to do something with my face. I straightened my hair that reached to half way down my back and put some natural makeup on: a bit of eyeliner, mascara, foundation and a little blush.

One I was done I pulled out my phone from my pocket and texted Wicky.

We’re still up for l8er yh???

Yeah :)

Cool, cool. C u there

I put my phone away and went downstairs to find my mum making pancakes. My mum may not seem like the type of person but she is actually a really good cook.

“Hi mum” I said brightly. I wanted to start the day on a happy note.

“Hi” my mum replied eyeing me up and down, taking in what I was wearing. It seems that my mum is not to eager on being friendly today.

“You going somewhere?” she asked.

“Yeah I’m meeting up with Wicky” I answered.

She just nodded.

After breakfast I went upstairs to grab my bag, jacket, boots and then left the house. Luckily it wasn’t snowing but that didn’t make the temperature any warmer. I can’t wait till I get my driving licence. Just a little more than two years to go, as my 14th birthday is just round the corner. Well, it seems that I have to wait longer than I thought I did.

I got to the bus stop as I wasn’t walking all this way on foot. It was a little risky but I didn’t care at this very moment. I rather give a few autographs than have my hands fall off.
