Chapter 21 – Digging Ditches
Justin’s P.O.V.
We took our seats in the theatre. We were sitting near the front but behind us there were so many people. From the actors to media critics and lucky people who got golden tickets to the premier. Even with all this happening, I couldn’t keep my eyes of Trisha. We were probably all over the internet by now but I didn’t care. All that mattered was that she’s here with me, holding my hand and smiling back at me.
“You look beautiful” I whisper as the movie starts.
She blushed, “stop saying that” she said fiddling with her dress.
“But it’s true” I said sincerely.
She looked back at me with her eyes glowing. A smile tugged at the corners of her lips, “I love you Justin” she whispered softly resting her forehead on mine.
I smiled back at her, “I love you too”.

“Wooooooo!” Jody cried as we entered our apartment with a champagne bottle in her hand, “to Jacob!”
“To Jacob!” all of us called back except for Trisha who scowled.
All throughout the journey back Jacob tried to get her to talk to him but she didn’t say a word to him.
“And to our family!” Jody carried on, “whether related or not”.
“To family!” we all shouted back, with Trisha joining in this time as she went to the kitchen. I smiled to myself at the thought that Jody considered me family.
“Right” Thomas said clapping his hands together as we all crashed on the couches exhausted, “food?”
“Yes!” we all said eagerly.
Trisha came back with two bottles of coke and handed one to me sitting down next to me.
“Thanks” I said putting my arm around her shoulders.
“Welcome” she said smiling back up at me.
“I love the sky!” Jody shouted from the balcony.
“I think you’ve had way too much champagne” Thomas said chuckling.
We all joined in with his laughter as Jody came back in with a scowl on her face.
“Am I not allowed to be happy?” she asked.
“Course you are mum” Trisha said, “dad was just making a point”.
“I guess” Jody said sitting on the couch turning on the TV.
“OMG cars!” Trisha called, “and it’s just started”.
“I love this!” Jacob said.
“Cars it is then” Jody said chuckling.
Trisha’s phone buzzed on the table. She picked it up and checked the message. I read over her shoulder.
It was from Wicky:
