They say things change overnight. I was forced to believe that when I confusedly wake up on the hard floor with the sun shining on my face through the curtains' light tissue.

That nigga pushed me off the bed last night! And I thought everything was going just perfect. But recalling the few bomb things I've learnt about him yesterday – let me not get my hopes up.

First of all, my fake – may I add, good looking – boyfriend has a gun hidden in his closet. And adding it to his bad boy style that can mean that my life might be in danger and I just dragged my mother into this. But as long as we don't end up six feet, we're good.

Second, how can I pretend that I live here for months when nothing in here belongs to me? Not even a pair of undies to tell a story. Clothes, shoes, makeup, bags – I'm going to flip if I don't get to choose a new one for today. I've been using the same one for two days straight.

Aubrey was already up so I decide to start my day too and do my hygiene. Still dressed in his clothes, I was about to look for my purse to fetch my phone when my stomach groans.

Knowing Carol, she must have prepared something for breakfast. Even if it's not her house, Aubrey can have hundreds of maids; it's typical of her to accommodate easily everywhere.

"Good morning my sunshine." Aubrey says while reading the newspaper and finishing off his waffle. Next to his plate was a black mug with OVO printed on it. I roll my eyes. I wonder what that means.

"Morning, jerk."

"Don't mind her Drake, she has always been this cranky in the morning." My mom says.

"G'morning mom."

"Y'should have seen her when she was little." She totally ignores me. "There was this one time I had to drag her to school in her PJ's. I left her there at the entrance and left."

That was so embarrassing. Everybody laughed at me for days because of my pink pyjamas with little brown monkeys all over.

"Mom, I was sick, okay? Even the principle took me back home." I defend.

"Nicki, your first period isn't a sickness."

            Oh

Oh. My. Gosh! Can she just stop embarrassing me? Even Aubrey couldn't hold his laugh.

"I can only imagine Mama Carol; she must have been a hard teenager to handle."

"Oh no, not really. Except for caught a fever for boys. She just couldn't stop chasing them."

"OKAY, mom." I had to stop her. "What are you going to do today?"

"I'm going to meet Carla to pick up a place for this Friday's party"

"Do you need me to take you?"
