Ever since Aubrey entered in my life, nothing was the same. I went from a workaholic cat woman to a fugitive bride and dog kidnaper.

"It's all your owner's fault, isn't it Cuddles?" I caress Cuddles' head as he eats off his new bowl.

After Shanell abandoned me in the parking lot, I had no other option but but to leave too. Shopping was hell. Besides having people recognising me, my car was an embarrassment. I went straight home and settled Cuddles in, then fixed a little something for him to eat. As he ate, I fell into my thinking self.

Was the wedding thing true? It was possible. With my Oscar worthy performance, and the staff looking up to me as an example of dedication and commitment, I blew it running away and certainly they wouldn't call to ask where was I.

And then there was Cuddles' appearance. Shanell said a cute cop gave handed him to her.. Now, that description isn't strange...

Oh gosh, I remember him now. He was that dude who was questioning me that day at the hospital. I think his name was Darien or something. Great, another one of Aubrey's friends in my life, trying to screw me by giving me his dog. I predict being at least accused of being a stalker. I just don't know which one would I allegedly be chasing, Aubrey or Cuddles.

"What I mess I got myself into, huh buddy?"

I need to return him. But then again I like him and I like the way he gets all excited every time I came back from work. And who would take care him in that big empty house.

"That's it. You're staying with me."

"Who are you taking to??" That voice echoing in my living room made me feel like a horror movie victim.. Cuddles and I turn our heads.

"Remember me to revoke your free access in here. You scared to hell out of me."

"Who were you talking to?" Justine asks again. I simply point to the centre of the living room that she couldn't see. She walks over to take a closer look and gasps as she sees Cuddles. "What is that dog doing here? Did you go see Aubrey?"

I roll his eyes at the mention of his name. "I don't wanna see that douchbag, that jerk ever again."

"But you can see his pet full time, right?" She cross her arms..

"Now that I had nothing to do with. He was in my car when I had it back from the hospital." I went that early episode with Shanell. "I can't leave him out there in the streets. What if something happens to him?"

"I get that you're worried about his safety. But you're a workaholic. You spend more time in the studio, meetings and photoshoots than at your own home."

She was right, but I wasn't about to give him up that easily.

"I prefer the term professionally dedicated."

"You're married to the game. Face it, you just don't want to return his dog because it's the last thing that connects you to Aubrey."

I suck my teeth. "This isn't about me or him. It's about Cuddles. He doesn't have a place to stay. I mean, c'mon, look at his eyes."

"Okay, you won... But who's going to take care of him when you're out?"

I sit there thinking for a while then a smirk takes over my lips. "My dearest best friend who has plenty of free time in her hands."

"ME?" She points to herself.

"Oh please please please can you do this for me." I put my hands together like I'm praying and quiver my bottom lip.

"I don't know about this..."

"Sure you know, think with me. You're free, he knows you longer than me. You can even stay here a couple of weeks to help. Just please don't leave me hanging."

"Okay, fine. What don't you asking smiling that I don't do crying..."

"I love you too." I give her a big thank you hug.

Routine, my routine is back to normal. It's almost like that series of disasters is over.

Justine has been living with me. She actually joys staying with Cuddles, she doesn't even seem to be that down about losing her job as I expected her to be. It's natural, she wasn't practicing her profession. God knows I wouldn't survive a day knowing I couldn't rap or sing.

Cuddles is the highlight of my day. He gives me a reason to come home early. He did change that "no life" air my house had. Even Justine says I'm turning into a housewife, even time to watch cooking shows I have.

If there's a thing I haven't overcome, is Aubrey. It's been almost a month since I last saw him. More than twenty one days without news of him. If I had to wear that stupid sling for ten days, imagine him who an emergency surgery.

But life goes on, and so do I. I threw myself into my music and little by little I came up with this song called Pills N' Pills which I just finished recording it. I haven't even hinted to anyone that I was writing this kind of stuff. When the time is right, everyone will know. It might even be my first single.

Feeling satisfied with today's work, I gather my belongings and was halfway through the door when I get a text from Tyga asking for me to meeting him in the next room.

I make my way, and surprisingly it wasn't much crowded like other times. It was only him and Wayne in here.

"Nic." He comes greeting me with a hug.

"Hi Ty, how are you? "

"Good, you? How's the Print coming along?"

"Yeah, I'm fine. It's going good, just finished recording a song." I change my standing pose, transferring all my weigh from one leg to another.

"A new song, huh? Will we be slaying the charts?"

"You know it."

"Nic!" Wayne says getting out of the booth.

"Wayne!" We run a preliminary jolly chat before discussing the purpose of the meeting.

"So, you wanted to meet?" I ask Tyga bringing him into the conversation.

"Yeah, both of you actually. I got this track, I was thinking you guys could drop a few bars on it."

"Sure, why not?" I smile.

"When are you planning on meeting up?"

"I was thinking soon as possibly." Tyga shrugs.

"Today, Ionno man. Schedule has been tight. But... Wait, don't you have a studio at your place?" Wayne asks Tyga as if he had an idea.

"Yeah, why?"

"Perfect, we can meet at your house this evening. Even because we haven't chilled for a while."

"I think that can work. Do you think you can you come by later?" Tyga asks me.

"Yeah, sure. Cool with me."

"Thanks guys. I'll text y'all my address."

A couple of details adjustments, I say my goodbyes and leave the studio for home.
