CHAPTER 43 - GOING IN CIRCLES
"Was it like a handful of boobs or more like 'a grab and let go' thing?" Annabelle asked the next day after we finished our tennis set in the Country Club.
My face flashed bright red and I covered my face with my hands embarrassed "I don't know Annabelle." I groaned "What are you asking me?"
I knew I shouldn't have told her what happened between me and Ryder. But it wasn't like I could lie to her either; I was a horrible liar.
"What!?" She exclaimed "I just want to know what happened; I'm your best friend."
"Well I already told you so stop asking me. You make me uncomfortable."
"You surely weren't uncomfortable with Ryder feeling you up on the floor." She murmured, purposely loud enough for me to hear it.
"Annabelle!" I exclaimed shocked, my face going even brighter.
She laughed "Fine, fine. I'll stop."
"Thank you."
"I just want to know one more thing though."
I groaned "Is it necessary?"
"Yes."
I sighed "Fine."
She gave me a creepy smile as we stopped in front of the double doors of the country club's lounge.
"Was... his friend happy?"
If I could die from embarrassment then this would be the moment that I would "Annabelle!" I hissed.
"Just answer. That's all I want to know then I will leave you alone."
I looked down at the floor shyly "Yes." I hissed again at last.
She squealed "And what did you do about it?"
"I apologized okay? Can we get inside now?" Without waiting for a reply I got inside the crowded lounge, leaving behind me a very shocked Annabelle.
I searched for my friends and when I found them at the back of the room I started walking towards them.
"You apologized?" Annabelle exclaimed, falling into step with me "What for? That's not something to apologize for!"
"Annabelle can we not have this conversation right now? Especially in here!?"
She huffed "Fine. But we are definitely talking about this later."
We arrived to our friends table, who were chatting excitedly probably about some new gossip they heard. When we arrived they suddenly stopped and went silent, sipping uncomfortable their teas.
We greeted them and sat down with them in the round table, pouring ourselves some tea and grabbing cookies from the spiral stand that was in the middle of the table.
As we started eating there was silence and I looked up to see everyone at the table staring at us, without much as just sipping silently their teas.
I gulped mine down and raised an eyebrow "Everything's okay?" I asked "You've been acting quite strange lately."
They all looked at each other for what seemed like forever before, finally, Rebecca decided to talk; "Okay... so... we know about you and Ryder West."
They all stared at me like they were expecting me to deny what Rebecca had just said but I simply just said; "Oh" It wasn't like Ryder and I were a secret anymore. After our PDA at the cafeteria yesterday I would be surprised if no one hadn't heard about Ryder and I.
