CHAPTER 59 – CHRISTMAS EVE.

Christmas Eve; it was finally here.

Ryder and I spent all night together in the lookout point, finding it extremely difficult to get up and return back to reality.

We sat for hours in the warmth of the car –and each other- not able to stop kissing and flirting with each other.

After we both knew we couldn't delay it anymore, we got up and dressed, which wasn't easy since we kept stopping to kiss. Finally, reluctantly we left the lookout point.

The ride back to my house was only a ten minute ride but somehow it turned to a half an hour one.

"Ryder, I reaally need to go." I said against his lips as he kissed me for the hundred time tonight while we were parked in front of my house for good ten minutes.

"Okay." He said, paying no attention what I had just said and kissing me again.

I sighed and giggled happily on his lips but pulled away, knowing I had to be the mature one here since Ryder wasn't planning on leaving any time soon "Ryder come on, I really need to get back to my house."

He groaned and pulled away, resting his head on the headrest. "Fine."

I smiled and couldn't help but give him another kiss, my stomach doing all kinds of twists "I'll see you later." I mumbled inching away.

I got out of the car fast, since I honestly believed If I didn't I would stayed there for days.

I snuck back to my house from the front door and walked upstairs to my bedroom, making sure I didn't wake up my parents.

Once I found myself in the comfort of room I sat down on the bed, with a huge smile plastered on my face. I sighed happily as I fell on the bed, staring up the ceiling in a happiness and content.

Was that how everyone felt after sex? So content and peaceful and... in love? If that's how it was gonna be from now on I would never want to be apart from Ryder anymore.

A couple of hours later I was up on my feet and ready for the Christmas Eve's service. I had barely got any sleep but that didn't stop me from beaming at seven o' clock in the morning.

The Christmas Eve's service was really special. It was a sacred service for everyone here at Oakheart and the whole town attended it.

I curled my hair so they fell down my back in perfect ringlets and wore a short white laced dress and beige ballet flats. I wore a natural makeup since it was morning and couldn't help but notice that my face was glowing today.

It was obvious that it wasn't because of Christmas.

"Chloe!" My mom yelled from the hallway, way too loudly for seven o' clock in the morning.

"Yeah?" I replied as she stormed inside my room looking frightened.

"Where's your brother!?"

My eyes widened. Oh no. He wasn't back yet? It was seven o' clock in the morning; he knew that he had to be home early to get ready for the service! What was he thinking?

Suddenly his words from last night replayed in my head; "You know what? Screw you man I'm out of here". But he couldn't possibly mean it could he? Of course not! He couldn't just leave without saying anything to my parents.

"Oh Uhm..." I tried to think of an explanation quickly "He... uh... he got up early to go to the... to the church! Yeah, he uh volunteered to go help Priest Lucas with the service."
