The smell coming from the hole in the ground was starting to float around the staircase, making the hallway smell.
It makes me gag every time, but slowly it doesn't bother me.
Wow, I never thought I would admit that the smell of death didn't bother me.
The house is quiet ad I pull on my green jacket, wishing that something could end my endless train of boredom.
The cave doesn't seem like a good idea to go into without the right materials, so I'll need to collect some things before I can go down there again.
My feet carry me aimlessly into the upstairs hallway, staring at the large, foggy window that is at the end of the hall.
I reach to it, wiping away the mist.
The sun shines through the window, hurting my eyes slightly.
This town seemed to be a faint cover for something that none of them can even imagine.
To me, I can't help but wonder if that was the handy work of the creator of the town.
Everyone here was so clueless, so blind, to everything!
None of them ever though once to just leave?
I mean, its not like the gate is locked, its quite literally just the flip of a switch.
One simple rule stops them, that not one single person breaks.
I guess this town must be really great if none of them have ever decided to just unlock the gate.
Again I sigh, walking past another locked door.
I wonder......
My hand reaches toward the slightly cracked door.
As soon as my hand rests on the door nob, a sharp pain goes through me, making me jump back.
I look down at my hand to see a large gash, blood slowly starting to leak out.
It stings as the door flings open.
"Blood test confirmed." An odd voice I can't that I can't find where it came from.
I step inside, holding my hand in pain.
As soon as I step through the door into the dark room, the door slams closed, making me spin around in the darkness.
Something touching my injured hand makes me jump, pain going through me.
"Welcome Sir." The voice says, turning on the lights.
Did that voice just call me sir?
The walls are covered in blueprints and plans, while every table in the room is covered in what looks like experiments.
"What the?" I ask, looking down at my now wrapped hand.
The bandages wrap around, looking like they are pretty fresh.
A robot near the door rolls over, and what looks like two lights for eyes light up a bright green.
"You are not the master." He states, looking angry.
If robots can have emotions.....
Maybe he's an AI?
"Obviously not, but what is this place?" I ask, walking around the room.
I hear the rolling of wheels, and I turn to see the robot looking fondly around the room.
"He used to be in here at least once a day, he even created me with a part of his own intelligence." He says, his eyes lighting up a bit.
