"I said, who the hell are you!" The man says, his voice sounding more irritated by the second.

I don't really like being yelled at, especially when I don't know who the person is.

My feet spin on the ground so I'm facing him, eyes blazing with courage.

"Who the hell are you?" I retort, crossing my arms over my blood stained shirts.

He takes a minuet to take in my appearance, his gaze ending at the diamond key around my neck.

"Where did you get that?" He asks, sounding as if he was causing me of stealing it.

My eyes narrow.

"I found it in a house that was empty." I reply, not giving this strange man anything else.

He has longish hazel hair that looks like it hasn't been cut in years and green eyes.

"Now we are back where we started. Who are you?" He asks again.

I roll my eyes, standing my ground.

"I'm Petra. Petra Blackstone." I growl, using the name I only now realized I had.

The man's eyes widen at my words, his angry stance dropping.

He walks up to me, looking like he is going through déjà vu.

"You look just like her at that age." He mumbles, almost as if I'm not supposed to hear it.

My eye brows raise, confused at the man.

"Who the hell are you and what the heck is this place?" I ask, taking a large step back.

He realizes my creeped out stance and stops staring at me.

"I'm Michael Blackstone. Your father. And this place is my home and lab." He states, making my stomach drop.

This man was my father, and I was almost ready to fight with him.

He asks up to me, looking at me fondly.

He opens his arms, like he wants a hug.

"No. You don't get a hug." I spit.

His arms drop to his sides, nodding.

"I understand. But I need to know, do you know about the Anointed One?" He asks, staring again at the key.

I nod, keeping my arms crossed.

"I know enough to know that I'm her." I growl.

He sighs, walking past all the experiments.

I decide to follow, walking a few steps behind him.

The hallway beyond the experiment room is in darkness, making me nervous.

Why am I following him into a dark room that could hold anything inside?

Lights flicker like fire when he flips a switch, revealing a cave like room with paintings and any other symbols on it.

"The prophecy of The Anointed One has been around for longer that we can comprehend. It took many centuries after we found it to finally read what it says." He says, looking over at me with sad eyes.

I still don't get it, why is he sad?

"The prophecy says that the Anointed One will come and defeat a mighty evil, and will clear the world from its sickness, by taking it all on herself." He starts, making it feel like a rock is sitting on my chest.
