Chapter 7 Breakdowns

Bella's pov

The next morning I woke up and felt someone beside me, then I remembered last night in my dream. I heard some giggles then I saw a flash so I quickly jolted up in the bed and saw that Rick, Glenn, and Daryl were all staring at Carl and I.

I looked over to Glenn and he was holding the camera smiling. He better burn that picture. I could feel my face getting really red with embarrassment this probably looked so wrong.

Uh can I help you? I asked scratching the back of my neck nervously.

"Did you two get it on last night?" Daryl asked smirking raising his eyebrows.

Daryl I would never have sex during the apocalypse I said starting to laugh.

"Whatever little Rambo" Daryl said then he Glenn and Rick walked off laughing.
I laid back down letting out a breath. I put my hand on my head and closed my eyes. I felt Carl stir so I pretended to be asleep.

The bed got lighter indicating that he got up. I felt a warm kiss on my cheek then he left. I smiled to myself then I got up and put on my combat boots with my knife on the inside of my right boot. Then I put on my black tank top with my green jacket and lastly a black pair pants.

Hey Rick I greeted walking out to the kitchen area. Judith was giggling at the table, it made me smile I always loved babies.

"Hey Bella how did you sleep?" Rick asked with a small grin scooping up oatmeal on a spoon then into Judith's mouth.

Oh my god Rick I said starting to laugh. I had a nightmare then he came in and I asked him to stay it was nothing to important I said with a smirk. He laughed slightly and put another spoonful of oatmeal in Judith's mouth.

So uh when are we going on a run I need to get some things I asked nervously.

"When you're better" Rick said.

No Rick I'm fine I've been worse then this when I was on my own I said pleading.

"Alright fine you can go today but take someone with you" he said I looked over at Daryl and he shook his head yes I smiled.

"We leave in an hour" he said.

Alright I'll be ready I said excitedly. Jeeze who knew I could get so excited about going on a run.

"Wait what no you can't leave you just got here" I turned around and saw Carl standing there staring at me intently.

Carl I can't just stay 'ere all day and not do anythin' I want to go hunting and I need to get some other things I said looking down.

"But I don't want you to go" Carl said pleading.

Carl I will come back in one piece nothin' is gonna happen I'm going with Daryl I'll be safe I said in one breath. Carl turned around and walked away and didn't say anything.

Carl come on don't be like this I yelled after him.

"No Bella you just got here and your just gonna leave and what happens when you don't come back or your bit? it won't be my fault so you know what just go I don't care leave" he yelled at me.

I felt tears brim my eyes I can't believe that Carl my best friend just yelled at me. I grabbed me weapons and bag then ran to the guard tower in tears.

I can't believe he just yelled at me when we were mad at each other we made up because of something funny we said or did but this is so much worse.

After about twenty minutes of sitting in the guard tower I looked to my left and saw a few graves. I left the guard tower and walked over to them. Once I was closer I saw that there were two graves I sat down in front of one which I'm guessing was lori's and started talking.

Hey uh Lori I know this isn't the best time to talk to you but I miss you so much I need you here. You were basically my mom but if there was anything that I could've done to keep you alive I would've done it. I would take my own life for you to be alive I love you so much Lori I finished starting to cry.

Why did this happen to you? It wasn't your time I said sniffling I looked up and saw her there, with a white dress on looking more beautiful than ever I slowly got up and tried to walk to her but she just moved and then she was gone.

I quickly turned around and looked everywhere then I saw her in between the prison gates so I walked slowly over to her and stared at her.

Lori, please stay I need you I said crying then she turned to me and smiled she raised her right hand and gently rubbed my cheek. I stared into her eyes then I moved my hand to try and touch her but then she just vanished. I looked around everywhere again but this time I didn't see her, she was gone now.

Lori no don't go Lori mom no please stay don't go I said crying. I fell to the ground sobbing deeply and loudly. I looked up and she was gone the walkers at the fence were piling up trying to get me I started to sob harder this time. I then felt a hand on my shoulder I turned and it was Brad he bent down to my level and stared into my eyes.

"Hey baby sis why are you crying" he asked looking at me.

I miss Lori she was more of a mom then ours ever was I just can't believe she's dead I wish that I was dead instead of her I said looking down at the dirt.

"Hey it's ok, Lori and I are watching you and whatever happens you always have to trust Rick and Carl they're the only family that you have left ok sis" then Brad disappeared.

Brad no I screamed

Don't go I said the last part in almost a whisper. The walkers against the fence were getting louder and rowdier just growling which was pissing me off. I saw their dead fingers trying to get past the fence to reach me, their rotten teeth snapping in the air this was all just to much.

SHUT UP I screamed SHUT UP, SHUT UP, SHUT UP I screamed but my screaming became quieter as I was trying to control my breathing then I got up and walked slowly to the guard tower and sat back down taking a few deep breaths.

Ricks pov

I looked outside to make sure that Bella was in sight then I saw her at lori's grave.
I felt a few tears brim my eyes but I didn't let them fall.

Bella started talking to the grave for a few minutes when she looked up at something then quickly got up and looked all around when she stopped at the gates. she walked very slowly over to the gates and started talking again.

I saw her hand go up like she was gonna touch something then she fell to the ground in sobs she stayed that way for a few moments before she turned her head and said something.

"Brad no" I heard her scream then she started crying again. She looked up at the walkers and started yelling the words 'shut up' then went into the guard tower. I felt so bad for her.

After Lori died I kept seeing her everywhere I just hope that that's not what's happening to Bella because I was going crazy.
