Chapter 8 A run with Daryl

Daryl's pov

Rick and I both saw Carl yelling at Bella then she ran to her cell and grabbed her things then she ran outside towards the guard tower. I looked over at Rick and he gave me the look that he would talk to him.

Pretty soon it was time for Bella and I to go since it was maybe around ten in the morning. I grabbed my crossbow then walked outside to go get her. I walked towards the guard tower and opened the door.

Hey Rambo ye ready to go? I asked at the door.

"Yea let's go" she said wiping her cheeks, she must've been crying. We walked through the field to get to the truck in case we get a lot of food and supplies. She opened her door and hopped in. Rick was standing by the door then he gave me a nod which I returned. Then I got in and started the engine.

"There's a store not too far from here, last time I tried to get in there were walkers surrounding the place so I left" she said with no emotion on her face at all.

Alright we'll go their first then clean out some houses and after that we'll go hunting I replied.

"Sounds good to me" she said.

Is this the place you were talking about? I asked her after maybe twenty minutes or so of complete silence.

"Yea except no walkers around" she replied looking at the store.

We got out of the truck and knocked on the window to get any walkers in there's attention. Only a few came to the front so Bella and I stabbed them in the head and continued our way inside.

"Ok grab a cart then go find any food and necessary needs that we'll have to have at the prison like baby formula and such just call out if you need me" Bella said.

Damn lil Rambo you really know yer stuff I said quite impressed.

"I was on my own for a year what would ye expect" she said with a small grin on her face. I just shook my head with a small chuckle and went in the opposite direction she went.

I looked towards the shelfs and saw Crackers, Soups, Chips, Canned fruits, Fruit snacks, Ramen noodles, Gatorade, and I found a ton of baby formula for Judith so I packed that cart full of the food and went back to the front to get another cart.

I went down another isle and there was a ton of water so I grabbed the four cases of twenty-four packs and set them into the cart and pushed that one back to the front of the store. I grabbed a basket this time and walked towards the medical supplies I'm honestly just surprised that this place hasn't been raided yet.

I saw Bella looking behind the counter and it looks like she found some guns and ammo. I grabbed all of the pain killers, other antibiotics, gauze pads, band aids, matches, rubbing alcohol and a lot of other things that we would need for at the prison.

As I was walking towards Bella a small box caught my eye. I looked at it and read the label feeling a smirk come across my lips. I took out the product and put it into my pocket. I'm sure that Carl and Bella will needs these later.
