Chapter 33 Thank you Carol

Bella's pov

The hell we still around here for?" Abraham asked clearly annoyed while we followed Rick.

We buried a bag of guns in case something like this happened I said gesturing towards terminus which was now half on fire. Rick pulled the bag out and opened it up handing guns to everyone. I walked a little ways away.

After all the shit I've been through I'm still alive I thought to myself. I heard a rustling noise and tensed easily. I turned around and saw her there. I jumped up from the log I had been sitting on and ran towards her.

CAROL I screamed as I wrapped myself in her arms. She hugged me back but something had dug into me. I let go and saw that she had Daryl's and my crossbow. The rest of the group had ran over and saw us together.

Daryl ran over and held onto her tightly. She gave me my crossbow and gave Daryl his. Her face had a little mud on it, and she was wearing a poncho. I walked back towards Maggie and Glenn, I stood in between them smiling.

Maggie draped her right arm over my shoulder and Glenn draped his left arm over my shoulder. Rick walked up to Carol confused and shocked.

"Did you do this?" Rick asked his voice hoarse. Carol smiled while a few tears ran down her cheeks. She faintly nodded and Rick broke into a smile before giving her a big hug.

Carl walked over to me and smiled. Maggie and Glenn released their arms as Carl and I walked a few feet away towards a tree.

"Bella, when you called for me and I wasn't there, I-I didn't know what to do" Carl said sadly.

"And someone hurt you" he said gesturing towards my jaw. I looked down.

Carl this was not your fault, it was mine I said now looking up to him. He sighed before leaning in to give me a hug. I hugged him back gratefully but we heard a chorus of 'awes' we pulled away blushing since the group saw the hug.

Carols pov

After I blew up the propane tank I jumped over the fence and ran towards terminus. The mud disguised me so the walkers didn't notice. I saw people so I ran into a doorway and began shooting at them. The walkers now noticed me and so I backed into the room and closed the door behind me.

I walked into another room and saw two crossbows. Daryl, and Bella's crossbows. I picked them up and put them over my shoulders. As I passed another table I saw a watch, it was the one I had given Rick when we went on a run together. I grabbed it and put it into my pocket exciting that room. As I left a voice startled me.

"Drop the weapons and turn around. I wanna see your face" a woman said. I set the crossbows down but turned quickly and shot at her. I missed, and she tackled me to the floor. I pushed her off of me and got up grabbing my gun.

Where are my people? I demanded harshly. She didn't reply so I shot her in the knee.

Where are my people? I asked again. She was groaning so I picked up the crossbows and walked to the door where walkers were banging on it. I opened it up, but the walkers went right past me towards her. She screamed as I left the building.

I ran to the fence and jumped over it again. I was walking when I saw a young girl sitting on a log. A twig snapped beneath me and she looked in my direction. Her eyes softened as she saw me. She smiled and ran towards me.

"CAROL" she screamed as she gave me a hug. I hugged her back, then Daryl came over giving me a long hug as well. I gave them their crossbows and then Rick came over to me. He's gonna be so happy when he finds out.

"Did you do this?" He asked. I smiled and nodded a little as a few tears fell down my cheeks.

"Thank you Carol" he said. I smiled and gave him the watch again. He smiled when he saw this. He turned and we started walking in the direction of the cabin.

Wait Rick, I have something to show you and Carl I said smiling. He looked to me confused but made me lead the way. As the cabin came into sight Tyreese stepped out holding onto Judith. Rick and Carl sprinted towards her, smiling happily.

Bella was at my side now smiling.

"Thank you Carol" she said before walking to Rick and Carl.
