The Little Green Bloke

There once was a frog who wore a pink wig

And the love of his life was a pretty pink pig

Each day as she passed he would whistle and croak

But she did not enjoy the little green bloke

His skin was too wrinkly, his eyes were too small

She’d rather be wanted by someone who’s tall

Yet the frog still persisted, he didn’t lose hope

Even when the pig yelled at him, he didn’t mope

“Oh my dear, hear me out! I have so much to give.

With you as my wife, that’s how I should live!”

But the pig merely snorted, she had had quite enough

“Do you really expect to win me with that stuff?

I’m very plump and my skin is real smooth

Few can handle all this, certainly not you!

So I’m leaving now, I must walk a long way.

The boss says he’s got plans for me Christmas Day.”

And with that the pig simply waddled away

Much to the poor little froggie’s dismay

He never heard from his she-pig again

And few can recall what had happened to them

But soon after that day, Farmer Joe’s kids dropped by

They were near the frog’s home and he just had to cry

When he heard them playing, one boy spoke like a dork

As he mentioned how good was this year’s Christmas pork
