The song of the stars traveled on the wind
And the beat of my heart pounded fiercely within.
I followed the call down the moonlit road,
He stood in the distance, waiting alone.
His hands, full of warmth, cupped my wind-chilled face.
I let myself sink in his hearty embrace.
"Come away," he whispered into my ear,
"How my heart longs for you to be near."
He looked to the sky, a light beam descended,
A staircase unfolded, hanging suspended.
Hands intertwined, we climbed up the steps
And into the sky, a smile on our lips.
Oh King of the universe, love by my side,
Here in your kingdom I'll always abide.
Your love burns my heart with fiery passion,
All other lovers I've gladly abandoned.
You fill my soul and I cannot contain
This unspeakable joy, wild and untamed.
My life down below is fading away,
For inside your arms I am destined to stay.
