Empress Lucia lay in her bed,a thick layer of sweat covered her forhead as she grunted in her sleep. She unconsciously gripped onto the stab wound she received from Persephone's strange blade. What she didn't know was that the wound itself had slowly began to open and on a daily basis sent waves of burning pain throughout her entire body. Empress Lucia gasped at the pain, feeling her body become clam my and uncomfortable as the pain intensified. Lucia's entire body trembled in pain as she gritted her teeth in her sleep. 'H-Help me.'Lucia thought to herself as the pain slolwy began to swallow her whole. 'Someone....anyone.'Lucia thought to herself before images of her beloved Lelouch filled her mind. Hi strong and warm arms that would hold her close and keep her safe. Arms that would make her feel as if she were untouchable. She needed him,his gentle and reassuring touch. She needed him to rescue her from the looming darkness within her being. But he wasn't there. And he would never be there ever again.Slowly tears began to cascade down Lucia's cheeks as she felt herself falling deeper and deeper into the overwhelming darkness around her. It's strong grip, proving ever so binding. Forcefully Lucia bid her eyes open only to feel multiple hands cover her eyes, binding her hands and feet. She opened her mouth to scream for help, but her voice seemed to leave her in her time of need. What was happening to her? Lucia blinked away her oncoming tears as the hands tightened their grip on her causing her to gasp in pain.
When her voice finally returned to her,Lucia already feeling fatigue from combating this new enemy weakly peeked through the fingers which blinded her. "Someone."Lucia muttered before her vision slowly became fuzzy, she knew she would not last much longer like this. 'Castiel.'Lucia thought to herself before silently apologizing to her son. She apologized for keeping so many secrets from him,she apologized for not being a perfect mother. And most of all she apologized for leaving him alone,in this world of theirs. "I failed you." Lucia whispered into the air before the darkness began to envelope her completely.
"Don't give up now!"Called out a sudden female voice who seemed to snap Lucia from her dark thoughts. Before she could comprehend what was happening she felt a sudden warmth on her chest. It was not painful like before, this one was welcoming and soothing. Lucia liked this feeling,it was similar to the feeling of C2 being nearby. The two women and their powers would seem to meld into one. Comforting and increasing the others power and well-being significantly. Who was this person? And why did they feel like someone she could trust.
Almost instantly the warmth traveled throughout Lucia's body, centering around the gaping wound on her chest. She arched her back at the sudden flood of power as she felt the hands retracting themselves to the darkness beyond. Slowly Lucia felt she was in control of her body and bid her eyes to open only to see a surprising person indeed. Standing before her in what Lucia was sure to be the confines of her mind stood Persephone. Her long flowing raven hair fell to her sides gracefully and seemed to sway in the wind. While her azure and geass gaze was transfixed on Lucia.
It was then Lucia realized Persephone looked as if she had been through hell. With multiple gashes on her arms, legs and even face. She appeared to be a veteran soldier who had survived the war to tell the tale. "You."Empress Lucia began only to have Persephone speak first and apologize to her. "Please forgive me,Empress. Saving you here was all I could do to stop it."She began to explain but this only confused Lucia more. "Stop it? Stop what?"Lucia questioned as Lucia opened her mouth to speak but was immediately silenced by a blade which was lodged into her abdomen.
Empress Lucia stepped away abit horrified at the scene. Slowly Persephone turned to her attacker to meet the bloody gaze of someone she knew and feared. "You shouldn't have betrayed us."The man stated coldly before twisting the blade further into her flesh causing Persephone to shriek in pain. With the burning gaze of her ex companion before finding Persephone found herself falling onto the cold marble floor on her back. With the large gaping wound pouring blood around her."Alastor....p-please."Persephone begged as the man peered towards her with a cold expression.
"Traitors are not permitted. Your lucky your even getting this warning."He stated before raising a blade similar to the one Persephone carried on her person. With an expressionless face the man called Alastor brought the blade down to end Persephone. Only to be stopped by Persephone's own blade. To the geass users at a standstill as they continued to combat each others movements. The battle was not getting anywhere Persephone finally got the upper hand as she hurdled the blade towards Alastor nicking his cheek, causing his eyes to widen in both shock and disbelief.
Alastor immediately reached to cover his wound. Screaming at Persephone claiming she had lost her mind. But why was be so afraid of a small cut? What all could this blade do? It wasn't too long that Alastor took his leave, disappearing from the room Lucia and a wounded and out of breathe Persephone. "Your safe now-"Persephone began before falling to her knees and ultimately passing out. Lucia rushed to her side leaning over to ask if she was alright. But there was no need as Persephone's body began to ripple like a wave pool and overall disappeared from Lucia's world.
At that moment Lucia felt terrible, the fact that she had treated Persephone so horribly. Yet she rushed her life to save her from someone she knew was a Geass User. She had to make sure she was alright, she had to apologize and thank her for saving her. But Lucia had to know what was so special about that blade?
