After the ordeal in her subconscious,Empress Lucia's eyes immediately flutter open. Quickly she sits up in her bed, peering around her surroundings to make sure she was actually safe. When she finally realized not a single soul was in her room, but her herself. Lucia couldn't help but to sigh in relief. Yet the images of Persephone being attacked by the man called Alastor. Along with the blood which Lucia was sure was pouring from the wound. She had to check on her,she had to make sure she was alright. Raising from her bed and quickly dressing in a long flowing white robe,Lucia left her room. Making her way into one of the many vast hallways of the palace she searched. She searched for the room holding Persephone, praying silently that she was alright. Praying that she would not come across a bloody body in the room she sought after so much. After worrying herself to no end,Lucia finally came across the door and was looking for.
Taking a deep breathe she placed her hand on the doorknob, before slowly and carefully opening it. Bracing herself for what she might see in the confines of the bedroom. But what she found in the room was equally shocking. Laying on the bed littered on many cuts and bruises was Persephone. Beads of sweat covered her forehead as she seemed to groan in pain as she continued to sleep. But her groaning soon turned into cries as Persephone suddenly arched her body upward in pain. Releasing a horrid scream to the world which Lucia was sure everyone could hear.
Quickly Lucia rushed to her side, placing a reassuring hand on her arm. Hoping her touch would sooth the distraught woman. But sadly it didn't,and what scared Lucia even more were the constant bruises that seemed to pop up on Persephone's body every passing moment. Was she still fighting that man? Alastor? And how was he doing this? Was it part of his geass? Or maybe even the blade he had used to gut Persephone earlier? Lucia bit her bottom lip as she quietly prayed for Persephone's well-being. She wanted her to be alright, yes but she needed answers.
Biting her bottom lip Empress Lucia called out Persephone's name. Hoping to trigger some kind of reaction, but her body only consorted in pain. Just exactly what was she going through? "C-Castiel."Persephone muttered in pain, praying that her "Knight in shining armor" would hear her cries. And boy did he hear it. All the while sleeping in then comfort of his own bed,Castiel continued to slumber peacefully. Undisturbed by anything, until Persephone's screams seemed to echo in his mind. Awakening him from a deep sleep. Castiel immediately sat up in his bed, gasping for air as he held his head ever so slightly.
"Persephone."Castiel whispered, having a horrible feeling at the pit of his stomach. Something was wrong, something he had to fix. And someone he had to save. With the constant sound of Persephone's cries haunting his very mind almost as if it was on replay. She needed him,and he knew this in his heart. But now did he know? Was it because of the psychic bond the two shared? Or was it something more? Quickly dressing the handsome Prince Castiel hurriedly ran down to Persephone's room. Opening the door abruptly to see his mother.
Who seemed to be caringly sitting at Persephone's bedside. And then there was Persephone with tons of bruises which marred her once perfect complexion. Her face was constantly consorted in pain,as another scream erupted from her lips. "Mom? What's going on?"Castiel demanded before rushing to Persephone's side as well. He saw the mixed emotions in his mother's eyes as she opened her mouth and began to tell him. She told him how strange she had been feeling since she had been stabbed. All of the pain and dark emotions she had been hiding.
And finally how tonight that darkness threatened to overtake her. But she was saved. Saved by Persephone who now lay in a constant state of pain because of it."She saved me Castiel. And I have no doubt in my mind that 'The Order'is behind these attacks and are striking back against Persephone."Empress Lucia explained to her son who nodded while absorbing in all the information. He quietly peered towards Persephone's face which held a permanent scowl because of the pain. Ever so gently he placed his hand on hers, feeling how clammy her skin had become.
How could he help her? And that's when it hit him. Persephone had entered the dreams of him and even his mother. Maybe just maybe he could do the something a free her from her nightmare. "I need silence mom." Castiel informed his mother, before gripping onto Persephone's hand tightly. "What do you plan to do?"She asked with abut of hesitance in her voice. And with his trademark smirk Castiel turned towards his mother. "I'm going to save the sleeping princess."He stated with a smile, completely catching his mother off guard. She knew there was something between the two but...
Lucia had no idea how deep those feelings ran. Castiel Ci Britannia liked her. No maybe he loved her and Lucia was too blind to realize it. With a reassuring smile Lucia nodded towards her son. "Come back safely okay? I'll let C2 and Suzuku know."She informed as Castiel nodded as his mother left the room. While in the meantime Castiel pressed his head against Persephone's hand, beginning to concentrate on his purpose. He wanted to save her,to deliver her from her own personal hell. And he knew only he could do it. 'Open yourself to me,Persephone.'Castiel thought to himself.
Almost immediately he felt a strong pull towards Persephone, but he also felt the hands of darkness which threatened to bring him down as well. But he would brave the darkness ,as long as be could get to her. "I will brief the darkness, for you."Castiel whispered before finding himself being dragged down into the darkness of Persephone's mind. Where he hoped and prayed he was not too late to save her.
