The sun had just set in the distance, when I woke up from a quick nap. I stood on the sturdy branch and surveyed my surroundings.

Fang was on the topmost branch, where he was on watch. Phoenix sat next to him, her head rested on his shoulder. I smiled.

Gazzy was asleep on the branch below, with Iggy sitting next to him, making sure he wasn't going to fall of the branch, like he has done before in his sleep. Nudge and Angel sat on the edge of my branch, deep in conversation. I decided we had about ten minutes before we should move.

I walked along the branch too Angel and Nudge and sat down next to them.

"Hey Max." Nudge and Angel greeted.

"Hey. We're going to move out in around ten minutes." I told them. They nodded.

The longer I sat there with them, the more I felt something was wrong. Nudge seemed a little off.

'Is Nudge okay?' I said in my head, hoping Angel would pick up on it.

'Sort of. She'll be fine. I can handle her' Angel thought back. I nodded. The pair were close. I knew Angel could help, and if she couldn't no one could.

I went around and woke up Gazzy, before climbing up to where Fang and Phoenix were sat.

"Hey." Fang looked up at me, he gestured at sleeping Phoenix next to him. I smiled at my happy family.

"We're leaving in ten. We have to wake her up." I said. Fang nodded. He gently nudge her.

"Wake up, beautiful." Fang whispered. Phoenix lifted her head and stretched.

"Why?" she whined.

"We're leaving soon." I said. She smiled brightly at me before leaping up and down a couple branches, probably to talk to Iggy. The two are close.

"We talked." Fang said. I nodded and sat down next to him, where Phoenix was.

"Yeah?" I said interested. Fang wrapped an arm around my shoulder. I leant into him.

"I talked her through everything. She understands you and I are busy, and she's fine with it." I nodded, glad. Something popped into my mind.

"How long can we continue this?" I asked.

"Continue what?" Fang asked, warily.

"Running around and away from white coats. We've been doing it for too long, and we cant do it our whole lives." I reasoned. Fang was silent for a moment.

"I've been thinking about it too. Once we get to England, we could find a place. We could settle down, live normal lives." Fang said. I nodded.

"We'll always be together right?" he asked. I looked into Fangs eyes and nodded.

"Why wouldn't we?" I asked, not expecting an answer. Instead, Fang leant in and kissed me.

Fang had never been a boy, or man of emotion, but I think this relationship has brought it out of him. I knew it was always there.

"Alright lovebirds. It's been like, 15 minutes. Lets get a move on." Gazzy said, from below. He stood with his hands on his hips, a cocky look on his face. I grinned and nodded, standing up, helping Fang up with me.

I looked around me. This was my home. Arizona. And now I was leaving.

Would I ever come back? Was I starting to regret this decision?

I took a deep breathe.

"Lets do this."

A/N - I'm going to be busy for the next week but I'll update again as soon as I can. Maybe back to back chapters?
