The Whitecoats were very confused.
"I don't know what this cruel woman has told you," I gestured to Morgan who was surrounded by Whitecoats.
"But don't follow us. Leave us alone." I commanded, spitting my words like fire. I nodded to the flock, taking a trembling Phoenix's hand, and left, the Flock following behind.
"Max!" I heard a voice. I spun around and there was Dylan.
"Dylan?" I asked him impatiently.
"I destroyed your file. All of them." He glanced us.
"They can't find you guys anymore." he finished. I nodded. He made a smart decision doing that.
"Thanks Dylan." I said softly. We made our way outside. Angel and Nudge extended their wings and flew up to the clearing on the cliff where our stuff was left, the rest of the flock following until it was just Fang, Dylan and I left.
"So what now?" I asked the two boys in front of me.
Fang's now short dark hair stuck to his forehead, as he stood there. His knee was bent as he stood casually, his arms folded in front of his chest. His shirt was torn in numerous places and his shorts were covered in blood.
Dylan stood on the other side of me. His arms dangled beside his muscular body, as he stood confidently in front of me. His blue eyes looked tired. His gold hair was dirt matted and spiked into the air.
"I think I'm going to leave." Dylan spoke.
"Where will you go?" Fang surprisingly asked.
"I'm not sure, but I'll work something out." Dylan scratched the back of his head awkwardly. No one spoke.
"You're welcome to stay if you need a place to crash for a few nights." I spoke. He had done a lot for us in the past week, and the sad truth was, he didn't have anyone in the world to rely on.
He once could rely on me, but those days have passed.
"Thank you."
The sun was setting, the sky dyed a magnificent red and pink colour. I extended my wings, and gave a final smile to Dylan.
"See you later." I said, before jumping into the air, my wings carrying me powerfully into the air, Fang doing the same. I landed on the clearing to find the whole flock asleep next to a newly made fire. Fang began making a makeshift bed for us. I stood on the edge of the cliff and looked out.
Dylan's lonely figure wandered off into the distance. I made out his large wings, feathers ruffling in the wind.
I hoped he would be okay. I really did.

"Iggy that hurts." I groaned, as he poured the liquid onto my arm, dapping a water soaked cloth on it after. I noticed Fang trying to hide a smirk.
This was the worst part of fighting. Treating the cuts and stuff after often stung more than actually getting it. It was the next day and Iggy had decided they needed to be treated before they got infected.
"Fang I see you." I frowned. His eyes glinted mischievously.
"Max I think you're okay." Iggy wrapped a bandage around my arm to protect the deep cut. When I protested Iggy frowned at me.
"Fang you can take care of the rest of this four year olds cuts. You know how?" Iggy stood up.
"Yeah." Iggy nodded, and walked off to begin checking out Nudges wounds. Fang knelt down next to me. He smirked at me, looking me in the eye. He gently lifted my chin up so he could work on the cut on my neck.
He cleaned it with cold stinging water. Fangs hands worked wiping the water away.
"Fang!" I jolted as my neck began burning. Fang chuckled.
"It's disinfectant stuff. You need it." he said, grinning at the state I was in.
"I would be fine without it." I grumbled. Fang took my hand and met my eyes.
"You seem very vulnerable right now." he cockily commented. I groaned.
This boy.
"No I'm not." I retorted. It was probably true though. Fang moved closer to me, making my heart race.
His brought one hand up to my jawbone and ran his fingers along it, making me tremble with the sensation. His other hand held mine firmly.
He finished off cleaning my cuts, and sat beside me. One by one, the rest of the flock came and sat near us, forming a circle.
"So are we going to make our way home?" Angel asked. I nodded.
"Yeah, although at the moment, we're all tired." I commented.
"We could spend a few days here recovering. I'm sure we could catch our own food." Iggy suggested. I nodded.
"Sounds like an idea." I decided.
A/N - I am really sorry I haven't posted in ages. I had a really busy few weeks at school, where I had like 5 million tests and assignments. I have a flute exam next Sunday, which I've been preparing for. Hopefully, I'll post again after than, because that'll be school holidays again!!
Thanks for reading!
