It had been two weeks since we arrived in our new home. Since then, Iggy set up the computer, and managed to order food to come to our house, and then, I enrolled us into the nearest suitable school.

We had been outside once, just to get clothes and things we couldn't order for delivery.

Today was our first day of school. The school was very different to other schools. It had sections. Kindergarten to year 5, Year 6 to Year 8, year 9 to 10, and then 11 to 12.

"Okay, Phoenix, your in kindergarten. Remember the wings are a little secret between the flock, and you're not allowed to tell anyone else. That goes for the rest of you too." I said.

"Angel, your in sixth grade." Angel nodded.

"Gazzy, you're taking the name of Philip and your in seventh." I told him.

"Philip is like a prince name, right?" he asked, curious.

"Um.. Sure," I answered.

"Nudge, your taking your real name, Monique, and you're in tenth grade."

"Iggy, your James and Fang your Nick." I finished.

"What's our backstory?" Iggy asked as we walked down the stairs outside.

"We are from eastern England, and we've come here because of our mothers job. Our father isn't around and our mum is always at work. We're all siblings." I explained. I walked ahead, staring down at my phone, which had a map on it. We thought it would be good if we all had phones.

"So now I'm dating my sister?" Fang walked up next to me.

"I guess so." I replied, as he put his arm around me. Brothers did that stuff.

"I won't be able to stay away from you, let alone act like I'm your brother." he whined.

"That's about the fiftieth time you've said that." I said.

"Forty-ninth actually." he corrected.

"Close enough."

We arrived at the school and went to the office, where we received our schedules and uniforms.

I got changed into the white shirt and blue skirt that they called 'school uniform'.

I hated the skirt. How could I fly in a skirt? They aren't practical at all.

And it was very short. And that's an understatement.

I reluctantly stepped out of the change room to find the whole flock waiting.

Phoenix looked very happy with her school uniform. Nudge was chatting away to Angel about all the 'trendy' alterations she was going to make to it that I'm sure she isn't allowed to do. Gazzy was tying Iggy's shoelace, and Fang was standing with his hands shoved in his pockets, his eyes to the floor.

I must admit that the boys uniform really highlighted Fangs muscles.

He looked up as I walked up to him. I noticed him look me up and down.

"You look so good." Fang complimented. I didn't reply. I hated the uniform.

"You don't like the uniform?" Fang asked. I shook my head.

"I look like.. like a girl. Not a modest one, that's for sure." I explained. He chuckled at my statement. I noticed him take a glance out the window, where a ton of girls were standing around chatting. There was half an hour before school and most of the school already seemed to be here.

"Hey Fang?" I got his attention.

"Don't ditch me, please." I said. I had looked at our schedules, and we had every class together, but I wasn't worried about having no friends. I was worried about the other girls.

"Max. Don't overthink everything." he began. He lent closer, so his mouth was next to my ear.

"I'm with you, and only you." he whispered. I smiled at his sweetness. After some lady gave us our books, and we led Phoenix to the younger side of the school, we walked out onto the oval, where everyone was sitting. The group sat down, and just as I was about to sit down next to Fang, I felt a tap on my shoulder. I turned to see a boy, wearing a football jacket.

"Hello there. Are you new?" he asked, in a very deep voice.

"Yes, and no. I don't need help." I said, anticipating his next question.

"I didn't say anything. I was just wondering if a hot girl like you would want to go on a date with a hot guy like me, tonight?" he asked.

"I don't even know you." I replied, trying to be civil.

"Well, I'm Jay, and you're the hot new girl, Max. You're in my biology class." he said. I narrowed my eyes at him.

"Well, your answer is no, and leave me alone." I said, with an innocent smile. Jay cocked an eyebrow.

"C'mon , Max. It'll be fun-" he tried convincing me.

"Sorry, is there a problem here?" I felt Fangs arm wrap around my shoulder.

"Yeah, I'm just trying to hit on a hot girl and you're interrupting." Jay said, frowning.

"Well, Max has a boyfriend, so lay off." Fang grabbed my hand. Jay stuttered, hesitated and then turned and walked back to his hooting friends.

"Look's like I need to be worried about other guys stealing you." Fang said.

And then the bell rang.
