Chapter 19

This is the other half of how the last chapter ended if you guys didn't know. AND IM SORRY THAT I SAID KIYOMI THROUGH OUT HALF OF THE CHAP YESTERDAY I MENT NAOMI FREAKING NOAMI.

Age:16

     The ballroom was packed with people. There were the incredibly rich people, royalty from other countries and a lot of high class people. As she entered many people greeted her and kept on saying "sorry for your lost". She didn't deserve all of those. But it had to be done. 

     She looked straight to her front and saw the "king". This so called king that was going to kill everyone here tonight. He was really young actually. 20 years and he was already a killer. Last week, Meiko found evidence that he killed his father in order to be king. But before that, he locked up his elder twin sister, princess Amalia in the dungeons of the palace.

     How did she know? L asked that question. She and Naomi spied on the palace after suspicion of the prince's strange behavior. And they saw it all. The way he beat her  and dragged her to the dungeon, how he ran his father and cried telling him that she was kidnapped and that he saw it with his own eyes. When the king sent the guards they've tried to enter the palace. But failed.

     The King saw hert and walked towards her direction. Oh he was so handsome. But he was a killer. Too bad he was going to die. Meiko turned around, acting as if she didn't see him.

     "You" she told L. "Remember the plan. And don't act all sour during a mission for once will you?" L sighed and gave a small smile. Meiko smiled and turned her head to her best friend. "And Naomi, save your energy for the fun now will you?"

     Naomi grinned and flicked her eyes towards the king. Meiko felt the king's hands on her shoulder. She turned and smiled warmly at the king as he took her hand and kissed it.

     "Lady Lillian, thank you for attending this ball in your fathers honor" he said calmly. "I am very sorry for your lost. Although, your father did serve well".

     "Yes, he did." Meiko replied.

     "I promise we'll find who killed him as soon as possible" the king said, still not letting go of her hand.

     "And i hope the same for  your sister as well" Meiko said. It was strange really. Having a conversation about a killer with the killer himself. Meiko thought of the many ways she would be able to kill this man. She could slaughter his neck. Although, she loved this dress and didn't want to cause Watari any more trouble washing it. Maybe she could slice just a bit of the top of his head just like in "Kill Bill". But it might be of some trouble since he was taller than her. Oh! Maybe-

     "These must be your friends" the king said looking past her shoulder. He walked past her and Naomi bowed "your highness" she said. "Lady Selene. The duke has mentioned your relationship with lady Lillian multiple times" he said smirking at her.

     'Flirting brat' she thought. How dare he look into her eyes like that. But still, this would be a tale she would love to tell Raye. Oh she could imagine his reaction. Even though he might say "i don't like her, we're just friends!" it was always obvious that he did like her.

     The king then turned to L. Who was,not smiling at him. he reached out his hand for L to shake it but he didn't accept. The king raised an eyebrow and Meiko quickly went beside L, secretly pinching his back. "i'm sorry, Liam is really shy and nervous" she said, smiling. Meiko looked back at L who was trying his best to hide his pain. The King's hand went behind his back "i see.." he said, his eyes shifted to the crowd as Canon in D started to play.
