Chapter 11

Meiko sighed and put a hand on her hip. Ever since L released Light and Misa from suspicion, he's been really stressed. Sure, he was stressed before but it was never this bad. Usually, it'd only take a few hours for him to get over it but this time, god it was was weeks. Thanks to L's stress near's been acting the same way. Sure maybe she was stressed too. But just because all the clues were gone didn't mean that they couldn't find any more....right?. Yagami light's been working really hard and has been really helpful lately. She realized he wasn't so bad.
    

"Come on, it's not the end of the world!" She said. L and Near only sighed. If mello hasn't popped up, he was probably stressed too. She looked behind at the task force members.

   

 "Light!" She heard Misa say as she fell on the floor. Light rushed to the table and placed his laptop on it. He called everyone and they gathered around him. Well everyone except L and near.

   

 "We have a new lead" he said. She was impressed really, if this kid really was helping them, he'd make a good police officer one day. It wouldn't be so hard, he was already getting outstanding results in his studies.

   

 "All of the news about Kira mostly come from only one channel" he said. She turned to L who was listening. "Gender" she said softly. Eyes were on her. The gears were running in her head again. She looked at L then back at light. "Gender" she repeated louder. "The new Kira might be a girl, for she only focuses on female criminals. Sakura TV's old anchor passed away, and the new one's a girl!" L stood up and everyone looked at him. "But she must be teaming up with someone" L said walking towards Light's laptop. He looked at light as Near walked towards the crowd. Light nodded.

    

"Right. As more female criminals are dying, male ones are as well" he clicked on a key, revealing a different screen. Misa then suddenly stood up. She looked hesitant at first but then she spoke. "Light" Misa called for him. He looked at her almost having the same expression.

     "The other day, after my photo shoot. Some weird guy came to me and started asking me about Kira. And when I said what he's doing was wrong, he got mad and started yelling at me". there was a silence."What did he look like?" Aizawa asked. "He wore glasses. I saw his name tag" light said.
"And he had this...notebook. When he was mad at me he looked at me for a really long time. He was about to open the notebook... But then stopped and walked away". by the way L and near looked, by how L looked at her. she knew that he's found answers again. she smiled at him then looked back at the screen.                                                                       

    Teru Mikami was the man's name according to light. the female on the other hand was named takada kiyomi. They decided to plant cameras in Kiyomi's  home while she was at work. the others seemed to believe that they are the first and second Kira. but M knew they weren't. although they acted similarly to the first and second Kira's, there were slight differences. they were the third and fourth kira. just like the second, they were just followers. she sighed softly and glanced at L. 

    he too seemed to think that they were the original as well. she didn't want to tell him, it'll just cause him more stress. she'll probably tell him later. he was about to look at her but she quickly looked away, remembering the day he kissed her. 

    it's been a week since the kiss. and after it, it was as if it didn't happen at all. sometimes she wondered if he didn't mean to kiss her that night. because after that, he didn't do it again. he only acted like usual. and she did as well. maybe he didn't love her. maybe he just wanted to bring her back home so she could help him. what if it was a mistake to confess that night?
