"Goddamn it! I just love the burger," Kian exclaimed as he swallowed a mouthful, "Seems like they're coming off better."
The boys had ordered burgers with extra cheese and so did Roxy. At the back of her mind, it felt like something was stirring when she tasted the burger. Her head hurt so she decided not to think about it anymore. She tried to concentrate on what the boys were rambling.
"Yeah it's yummy!!" Roxy chuckled and Kian winked at her. After finishing, they paid and went out. The Sun had been on it's way home, all painted in blood. The blood strained the sky wounded. Something stirred up behind Roxy's mind yet again. Something that was a little clearer this time. Like the mist had been coming off thin yet the haze was intense. Unexplainable in one word.
"Hey!" A pretty slim girl in a navy blue blouse and black tights waved at the boys. She was tall, thin and perfectly tanned. Her brownish blond hair was curled at the apex, that blended with her starry dark blue eyes.
"Hey, Cyan," Collins greeted her with a hug and then the boys followed.
Cyan looked at Roxy, "Uh, hi there, I'm Cyan Felix," She smiled and held out a hand. Roxy shook it.
"I'm Roxette," Cyan beamed at her.
"Haven't seen you around. A newbie, eh?"
"Yeah we found her," Benny said, "And took her in. Plus she's pretty good at combat stuffs and so on."
"At least better than you," Quintin laughed and Cyan hit him playfully.
"Watch yourself, Tin tin," She narrowed her eyes and Quintin's face darkened.
"That's not Tin tin, that's Quintin," He breathed out, "I don't like it when you win."
"Hey now, guys," Kian put up a peace sign and Quintin nodded.
"So I'm a night DJ, Roxette," Cyan introduced herself, "Currently working in a mall by daytime."
"Nice to meet you, Cyan," Roxy smiled and Cyan gave her a hug.
"I bet you girls are gonna be besties in 3, 2, 1..." Collins chuckled.
"Yeah!!! Girl power!!!" She laughed, "By the way, there's gonna be a party tonight. Andrew Haber's throwin' it."
"Sure, Haber parties are bliss," Earnest smirked, "Kinda smoky bliss."
"Is there gonna be hookah?" Earl asked.
"Obvio, boy," Cyan made a right-question-at-right-time face. I mean hookahs were obvious. They're not gonna throw parties without hookah. There wouldn't be no party. She continued, "So you guys in?"
"Course we are," Quintin smirked.
"Okay then, people, see you tonight," Cyan smiled at the crew and strolled away. She'd a lot of work starting from fixing wires for perfect sound system and flair. You know, DJs these days make it such that you think the music's floating in the air. Like you don't even sense it's source.
"We didn't even ask Maxwell about this," Earnest sounded a little worried.
"I bet he, himself, is gonna go there," Kian laughed lightly.
"But, guys, I've nothing special to wear at the party," Roxy frowned.
"The mall would be of what use if catchy girls like you wouldn't shop for sparking party outfits?" Earl laughed.
Roxy grinned and blushed a little and they headed to the mall. It was mostly empty that day, obviously 'cause it was a Monday. I mean who throws parties on Mondays? Haber does.
Roxy and Quintin went up to the ladies' section and the rest of the guys stayed down looking for something funky for the party.
Party Section
The highlighted writing gave Roxy a splash of excitement and she grinned to herself as she saw a bunch of attractive outfits all displayed in an incredibly amazing manner.
She picked out a black skin tight dress and inspected it. It felt tight and itchy so she put it back to where it belonged. Quintin lit up a cigarette and blew the smoke at the No Smoking warning board. There weren't any staff to stop him either.
After digging through a bunch of outfits, her eyes landed on the outfit. It was a set. A black tank top, with sparkling golden dusty design and a leather jacket for the upper half and rough jean shorts and a golden belt for the lower half. It looked breathtakingly awesome. She was sure about taking it.
Apart from an outfit, Roxy bought a pair of high-heeled DM boots, fingerless gloves and other accessories like silver-golden chains and bracelets. The boys had bought their stuffs too.
"It's gonna be an amazing night tonight!" Roxy beamed.
The guys smiled and all of them raced home.
