The next day was so damn fun for Roxy. She couldn't even believe it to be real. She had rested on the bed for half of the day, that part was boring, but then she had gotten up, walked to the pit and saw the boys fighting. At first, she had thought that they were fighting out of vengeance but age noticed that they were laughing too. They were just practicing.

"Hey, Roxette," Benny smirked at her, "You're out of bed?"

"I'm good," She promised. They boys smiled and continued.

"Roxette!" She heard a deep voice and turned around. It was Maxwell.

"You okay, chick?" He asked and Roxy nodded.

"Come get some food," He suggested and Roxy followed him. He led her into a well lit room. The room looked normal compared to the pit and the hospital room. Those rooms had coarsely cemented walls and cold hard floors. But this one was different. It looked more like a living room. Golden light lit the room making the walls shine a golden hue. Roxy assumed the walls to be painted in velvety golden paint. There was a sofa at the middle of the room and a TV in front of it, of course, at a safe distance. A refrigerator stood next to the sofa hugging the walls on which hung a number of photo frames. There were pictures of the boys all together and Maxwell himself alone and the other boys too.

"Do you eat apples?" Maxwell asked.

"Yeah," She nodded and he threw one at her. Roxy caught it with an incredible skill that seemed to fascinate Maxwell.

"You're pretty good at this, Roxette," He smirked. Roxy just shrugged and took a bite. She loved apples, especially the red ones. Though this one was green, she liked it.

Maybe when I get to know these guys, I'll ask them to buy the red ones, Roxy thought to herself.

"Comfy yourself on the sofa, chick," Maxwell proposed.

After she finished the apple, Roxy was led to the pit again, to see the boys fight.

"You're new but still you've got some sweet skills, girl," Maxwell explained, "Hence, I guess you should just sit her observing their skills so that you can do them after you get a little better."

"I really can't wait to do this," Roxy smiled a cheeky smile and Maxwell looked at her with hope in his eyes. He was sure that Roxy was an able girl. He didn't know how but he felt a brotherly feeling towards Roxy. Something told him that she needed extreme protection. No matter how strong and skillful she looked, she was delicate at some point.

Meanwhile, Roxy observed each and every punch that flew from one boy to another. The boys were fast but still she could make out the moves and all.

"Okay, boys," Maxwell announced checking his watch, "Enough for the day."

The boys stopped and heaved. Then they grabbed their towels and one by one they all got refreshed.

Earl walked to Maxwell and Roxy and sat down beside them. He shot Roxy a smile and spoke, "So where's Donovan?"

"He's taken leave for some days," Maxwell answered, "Said he had some errands to run. Don't know. The boy's terribly out of control."

"Who's Donovan?" Roxy asked.

"He's my younger brother who's several years younger than me," He explained, "Actually, he's my half-brother. Our dads were the same."

Roxy nodded. Maxwell had a brother? It was kinda fascinating. Brothers in the same Mafia group. How cool would that be?

"How old is he?" She asked.

"Eighteen," Maxwell said.

Roxy wanted to choke right now. Donovan was several years younger than Maxwell.

"Well," Maxwell wanted to make the matter clear considering Roxy's silent reactions, "Actually, I was the first kid of my dad. When I was five, he and mum had a massive fight. I still remember it. They decided to give me to an orphanage. They tore my birth certificate and all to fully get rid of me. I had been staying in several foster homes since then 'cause I would frequently get into fights and ended up bring kicked out. Then one day I met Donovan and discovered that we had the same asshole father and then we decided to start a home for the kids like us. Then gradually, we turned it into a Mafia Gang but the thing is that, we don't kill people."

"I'm sorry, Maxwell," Was all Roxy could say, "It's good to know that you guys don't kill people."

Maxwell smiled a weak smile at her.
