Have I entered an alternate universe or did you actually crack a smile for me?

Bellamy sighed. I stole a quick glance at him, then back to the cave floor.

"The acid fog will pass soon." He broke the silence.

"Yeah." I mumbled, continuing to look at the ground.

It was quit again. An awkward silence. One that makes you want to just walk out of the room. Except I couldn't, which made it a lot worse.

"I don't think we've formally met," he started talking again, scooting over and reaching his hand out, "I'm Bellamy."

I hesitated before taking his hand in mine and shaking it, "(Y/N)."

He smiled, "Yeah, I know. You were on the guard at the Ark. Weapons specialist right?"

I nodded, "Yeah. I know you, too."

He cocked his head to the side with a smirk, "Oh yeah? What have you heard?"

I shrugged, "All I know is you were kicked off the guard."

"Nothing about a girl in the floor?"

"Well," I admitted, "maybe some of that too."

"You know I've heard some things about you myself." He taunts, smirk still on his face.

I raised my eyebrow, "Like what?"

"They called you stone cold back on the Ark."

"Why?"

"You don't really show much emotion."

I guess he was right, but I felt plenty emotion even if I didn't show it, so this made me laugh. A small chuckle, but it was still something.

"Have I entered an alternate universe or did you really just crack a smile for me? Stone cold herself, smiling for me!" Bellamy started laughing.

His laugh was contagious, it made me laugh harder. Soon, we were both clutching our chests, catching our breath.

Maybe being stuck here wasn't all that bad.
