Chapter 4

The Night Of The Comet

It was the day of the comet and I was walking around handing out pamphlets with Bonnie and Elena, orders from Mr.Tanner of course.

"Tonight, the night of the comet!" Bonnie announced. "Would you like a program?" She asked someone handing them one before she could get a response. "He didn't call huh?" She asked Elena, changing back into her normal voice.

"Or text, but then I realised we never even exchanged that stuff." She replied.

I continued to hand out pamphlets not paying much attention to their conversation, I think if I heard the name 'Stefan' one more time my head would literally explode.

I looked up as I handed someone a pamphlet, noticing  Caroline running towards someone standing in the parking lot. I squinted to try and see who it was, recognising Damon straight away. I didn't even know Caroline knew who he was, but as soon as he had appeared he disappeared once again. Something he and his brother had a tendency of doing.

It was later that night and everyone was at the square for the festival celebrating the passing of the comet.

"Hey, I got some candles." Caroline came over handing us all candles.

"Hey." Matt waved, mostly to Elena.

"Hey." She smiled back. I looked between them as he lit her candle and then came over to light mine.

"It will get easier ." I smiled up at him.

"I hope so." He replied sending me a smile back.

I lit Bonnies candle and looked over to find Elena with Stefan. It looked like they were in a heated conversation so I left them be. I sighed blowing out my candle and made my way to the grill.

"Ari! Where are you going?" I heard Bonnie yell.

"To the grill, you coming?" I shouted back before she followed. I was never really interested in all these kind of events. They bored me, I didn't see the point in standing there watching a light in the sky.

We ordered food and sat down at a table just talking until everyone else arrived. Tyler and Matt came in first who sat next to me, next was Elena who sat next to Matt and Caroline who sat next to Tyler. Jeremy came rushing through the door practically running to our table with a worried expression.

"Have any of you seen Vicki?" He asked frantically.

"You're her stalker you tell us." Tyler remarked causing me to hit him in the arm.

"I can't find her." He said worriedly.

"She probably found someone else to party with, sorry pill pusher." Tyler continued, I hit him harder sending him a glare.

"Seriously? What's with the pill pusher?" I turned to Tyler.

"Ask him." He nodded towards Jeremy.

"Can we not do this right now?" Jeremy said talking to Tyler.

"Are you dealing Jeremy?" Elena asked Jeremy angrily.
