"Morning!" Elena chirped next to me the second my eyes opened.

"Why are you so happy." I groaned as I stretched.

"Just feel like being happy." She shrugged as she wrote in her diary. I looked up at her confused. Is this the same girl that cried into my arms literally only last night.

"Are you not supposed so be super depressed and stay in bed for....at least two weeks?" I pointed out as I laid in my bed, being smothered by my covers.

"Nope, I've had a realisation." She smirked as she raised an eyebrow glancing in my direction.

"Which would be?" I asked beginning to become worried. This was nothing like Elena, she's never gotten over anything so fast. When we were ten, she literally cried for an entire month when our dad accidentally threw away her favourite teddy, Baloo. She didn't stop until she got the exact same one. When she did, she gave him to our dog because he was 'too clean'.

"That I am perfectly fine on my own." She smiled not taking her eyes of her diary.

"Elena, I think your getting us mixed up." I stated, raising my eyebrows. "I'm the one that's perfectly fine on my own. You're the one that's always in a relationship." I pointed out as I hopped out of bed.

"Time for a change." She sighed. I just ignored her, I know my sister and I know everything will be back to normal in no time. That is if you count dating a vampire as 'normal'.

I went to the bathroom and did my usual routine. I got out of the shower and wrapped a towel around my wet body before walking out as Elena walked in straight after me. I just dropped my towel when the doorbell rang.

"Will you get that, it's Stefan. He said he wanted to talk." Elena informed me peaking her head around the bathroom door.

"I'm kind of naked right now." I pointed out, gesturing to my bare body.

"So am I, just go." She commanded closing the door again.

"What happened to 'time for a change!" I quoted shouting loud enough for her to hear. I picked up my towel re-wrapping it around me before heading down stairs. I opened the door to reveal a smiling Stefan.

"Hey-- um, Ari." He smiled obviously noticing my nakedness. I just smiled in response secretly praying my towel wouldn't fall. "Is Elena here?" He asked gesturing inside.

"Yep she's just in the shower, come in." I replied moving aside as he stepped in. "I just need to get dressed and I'll be straight down, just go into the kitchen if you want." I suggested before making my way back upstairs. I quickly pulled on a tracksuit pants and a random t-shirt before going back downstairs. I walked into the kitchen where Stefan was sat.

"Hungry?" I asked, opening the fridge.

"Sure." He nodded looking around the room.

"So what brings you here? Did Elena not break up with you...?" I mentioned grabbing the food I needed.

"Yeah, she did." He sighed looking down at his hands. "I just came to make sure she's okay." He stated looking up at me.

"Ever heard of space?" I smiled sarcastically but he just furrowed his eyebrows in confused. "She just found out your a vampire, that doesn't happen everyone." I explained as I whisked my ingredients together.
