I am flimsy
and lifeless.
Pull my strings
to bring me to life.
take control
of this body
and put on a show
for this audience.
My painted smile
bleeds through
the cracks
of my wooden face.
You control me
and I let you
because I am the puppet
and you
The Puppeteer.
The audience
will laugh
at my governed maneuvers
for they have no idea
I am trapped.
The Puppeteer
leads me along the stage
causing scattered chuckles
upon the audience.
He casts a spell
On them
So that they don't see
how torpid my expression is.
The Puppeteer
likes to control me.
He feeds
off of my weakness.
I can't wait for the day
that he
has his own master.
His own controller.
his very own
Puppeteer.
