Preface

I was lying in the foyer, just staring at the ceiling as I waited for yet another vision of him to come. Why do I keep seeing him? I haven't the slightest idea. All I know is I'm supposed to have some sort of connection to him... Some sort of bond...

Then, just before I could stop the thought the vision came.

He had his hands wrapped around the shoulders of a female guardian, and was about to advance on her when another Strigoi tried to grab her from his clutches. His red eyes blazed with anger, and he smacked the Strigoi across the room yelling "Mine!"

That was a mistake.

The girl was able to tackle him down, but he taunted her, telling her she couldn't kill him because she would hesitate like she did the last time, and that would cost her her life. She knew this, but she still didn't stop.

But before she knew it she was flung across the wall, and he was avandcing on a blond Morei girl as she strod across the room. The female guardian was enraged, but something told her to stop. And before she knew it, the Morei had tackled him down, and was clearly trying hard to shove a stake through his heart.

He would have drank her by then, but a strange border of fire surrounded his body. He was scared - more scared than he's ever been in his life. Then, he felt the life of the stake peirce his heart and all of his past experiences came rushing by.

He remembered everything as if it was permantly etched into his brain - some moments more prominent than others. Those moments being the moments when he was Strigoi and did things to the female guardian he was fighting just moments ago.

Once the process was over he was back to his old self again - and yet somehow different.

He was somehow changed.

He knew what it was like to be a monster, and what it was like to want to hurt the people you love.

He never wanted to hurt anyone ever again - except for the monsters surrounding him.

The blond Morei who saved him was now his top priority. He knew he owed his life to her for saving his - and for that he cried. He hadn't cried in a long time, but now felt like the right time. He had developed a bond to the girl standing next to him - a physcological bond that told her the true darkest parts of his mind. She would protect him, like he would protect her.

I had a feeling the female guardian wouldn't fancy that.

I snapped out of the vision in an instant, panting in relief when it was over. The man in the vision - I knew him like the back of my hand. But he knew nothing of me, and it saddend me to even think of it.

Dimitri.

I have been seeing him since I first specialized back in freshman year of high school at St. Vladimair. Nobody knew of the power I possessed because nobody ever heard of anyone possessing all of the elements before. It was unheard of - foriegn - and I shudder to think of the explanations people would start making up when they knew of my power.

But some people would support me, and respect me even if they knew of my plans.

Rose.

The gaurdian I kept seeing more and more in my visions of Dimitri. She knows him almost as good as I do, and that scares him to have someone see through him like that. It would scare him even more if he knew of me, and how I see through him like that.

She's shadow-kissed, and still has barely even a clue how lucky she is. Shadow-kissed guardans have extraordinary powers that Strigoi will never see coming when in battle. If she tapped into some of that power it would make her more badass than she already is.

She could protect her Morei better than any other guardian could.

Lissa.

The Dragomir princess, and the last of her line - supposedly - is specialized in spirit which is a rare element. She wants more than anything to learn how to fend for herself and tap into her best friend/soon-to-be-guardian, Rose's mind. But she is still learning the ways of spirit, and has no idea that it is the most powerful element of the five.

If I could just get a hold of her, I could teach her more than she could ever imagine, but I still have no idea where they are.

I sighed, knowing in my heart that I will get to them someday.

Oh wait, I forgot to introduce myself.

I'm Cecillia Vladimair, and this is the story of how I screwed and fixed everything in the following people's lives.
