He was sitting in the corner of a little prison cell, reflecting on all he had done.

There was one thing he still hadn't gotten over; Roza. He'd hurt her, and he'd never forgive himself for that. He could still remember the taste of her blood... So delicious...

He stopped himself instantly, feeling appalled. He could never go back to that. That life was horrible. He could remember the urge to kill, the feelings he had, the remorse he never felt when finishing his prey off.

He sighed.

Then a face he knew only too well showed up at his cell doors. Why was she here? He could feel the old attraction he had come back.

Her hair was a mess, she had on no make up at all, and she looked like she thrown on that dress for just to throw it on, but in his eyes she was still the most beautiful thing in the universe. The horrible memories came back when he saw her. She was something he did not derserve.

Why can't she just move on, he thought. She has Adrian Ivashkov. He's rich, he's royal, and he could give her a life that I couldn't. Why can't she just stop?

But he saw it in her eyes. She was determined. She was not going to lose her true love, no matter what the cause. She was going to hold onto him until for as long as he could.

Ah, Rose. Good little Rose. Never give up, you two belong together.

Rose, over the years, has become more like an inspiration for me. I liked Roza. She reminded me of power.

I sighed. Dimitri really does think he's evil. For someone to be so smart, how could they be so clueless?

A knock at the door startled me. I awoke out of my slumber, and was greeted at the door by two gaurdians dressed in black.

They stared at me, startled for a minute before composing themselves.

"We were told a Morei lived here," said the first guardian - a tall, pale man with cropped black hair.

"And one does," I replied. "I am a Morei."

Silence.

"All Morei must leave the area," said the second guardian - a short man, with slightly tanned skin and messy blond hair.

"For what reason...?"

"A group of Strigoi were spotted in a cave nearby." The first guardian said firmly.

I pretended to be scared, and said, "well, then, I'll just grab a few things and be on my way."

I quickly ran into the house and packed my charmed silver heels, my silver sword, my black shirt, my black pants, and my hooded sliver cloak.

After carefully packing them out of sight, I rushed out the house in fake fright. The guardians ushered me into a bus filled with other scared Morei who eyes widdened once they saw me. I checked my visions, and saw the Strigoi knew of our escape plan and were coming quick.

The guardians and the Strigoi were going to be in for a lovely surprise.

Funny, I wrote her going to the court halfway through this, and decided to change it at the last minute. Don't worry, she'll get there - just not now. This story needs a bit more action before we start the real drama.
