"Wake up, lazy!"
I felt someone shaking me, but I couldn't open my eyes.
The sun was shining in my face.
"Shit, close it!" I yelled with a sleepy tone.
"We have band practice, how could you forget?" I finally recognized Alice's voice and I sat up quickly with my eyes still closed.
I heard someone walking in.
"Go take a shower, you look disgusting. I can see 'I am hungover' in bold letters, across your forehead" Effie started taking the blankets and bed sheets off my bed.
"You're gonna need to wash that as soon as we get back" she walked out. I got up from the bed but had to sit down again. My head was spinning. Shit.
I got my clothes and went in the shower. I felt a little more awake. I didn't take much time because I was already late for practice. I decided that I didn't have time to wear makeup.
I went downstairs and saw everyone ready.
"I'm so sorry guys. I didn't hear my alarm" I apologized to the girls.
"Well if you would have listened to me last night, you would've had less drinks, and you would be less hungover, but whatever" Alaska rolled her eyes.
"Shut up, your voice is annoying me" Effie said with her hands on her ears looking at Alaska. She was hungover too.
"Okay, let's go" Emma got up and grabbed her motorcycle keys. Alice and Alaska did the same.
I looked at Effie, who was still covering her ears.
"I can't drive my motorcycle today" I smiled.
Emma gave me my car keys and said, "take Effie with you" I nodded and we all left.
We had a space for us at my uncle's studio, and that's where we always had our band practice. I had heard Emma saying that she wanted us to meet someone and see if he could be our new vocalist. Poor guy, he didn't know what he was in for. Good thing he didn't ask Emma why the old one had left.
My uncle's studio was a little building, it had four floors. The top floor was all his, there he would record, produce, etc. The other two floors had about six rooms that he would rent to other bands, producers, and writers.
The bottom floor had two conference rooms, a kitchen and the lobby.
The building had a basement too, he gave us the entire thing, he said we made too much noise when we were on the third floor and since we needed space for our instruments he said we could have the whole basement to ourselves. The basement equalled seven rooms like the ones on the upper floors, so we decided to divide them . We made like little offices. In one, Alaska had her photography studio, she would take people there and take good photographs of them, she had computers for photoshop and everything, she also had a wall full of books, most of them she had already read. The next room was Emma's tattoo room, she worked at a shop, but she would take the people she knew (like us) there and she would charge us less. Her walls were covered with band posters, drawings and pictures of tattoos she had done.
Alice's space was kind of added to Emma's tattoo room, Alice would receive clients who wanted piercings, she worked at the same place Emma did. The other part of Alice's space was full of computers and sketchbooks, she was a video game designer. She would write her stories, draw her characters and then, she would make a video game out of that. It was pretty awesome.
Effie had a filming studio there, it worked very well, that's where we planned to record our first music video. A YouTuber called Zoe had asked her to record an interview she had with one of the members of One Direction. She also had a desk where she would sit for hours writing scripts. She was also my editor, and I thank her for that.
In my piece of land, or "my office" I had my typewriter, I had tons of notebooks some used and some not. I would stay there trying to write something, it's what I've always wanted, but until then I hadn't had a chance to succeed. I had a bookshelf that had my medicine books, that I was still using, for school. The only emergency kit in the building was in my office, and I would get called once in a while to provide my nursing services to the people in the building.
The rest of the place, was used for our instruments, chairs and couches. Sometimes we would just sit there and try to figure something out.
Emma walked out and came back in with a guy that looked our age, he looked familiar, I stared at him for a while.
"Emma did you bring the waiter you talked to at Dawson's Bar?" I asked her remembering the night we met the Dose guys. She started laughing and so did he.
"I thought you had problems recognizing faces" she narrowed her eyes.
"I do"
"Okay so, are we gonna let him sing?" Alice asked looking at all of us.
"No," Effie looked at him defiantly, "there's someone else coming"
I looked at the door, and saw Timmy coming in. I immediately covered my face with a pillow.
"Hey! Nice place" Timmy said looking around. He sat down next to Effie.
"Okay, you may start" Effie looked back at the clear skinned boy, who introduced himself as Max.
We asked him to sing a slow song, to rap, and to sing some screamo. He did pretty good and Timmy agreed. We told him how the things worked in our band and he told us he really wanted to be part of our band. Alaska said he would be on probation. And then we had a new band member.
Timmy invited us to get some frozen yogurt. He called the guys so we could meet them at Nubi.
When we got there, Seattle and Roger were outside. Roger ran and hugged Emma. Alaska blushed when she saw the huge smile on Seattle's face. Everything was looking very weird to me. It was something that I never thought was possible. Some normal girls and some band members falling in love.
We went in the store and Jimmy was already looking at all of the flavors.
"Hey!" I hugged him forgetting that I wasn't wearing makeup. Shit. I buried my face on his chest. "Hello there" he tried to move my face. "I'm going to go get a cup." I walked fastly to where Timmy was getting his cup.
"I don't know what flavors to choose" he looked thoughtfully at the machines.
"Well, I always choose the three same flavors; strawberry-banana, chocolate, and Nubi tart" I laughed.
"I think I'll try your combination" Timmy said and then he left.
Jimmy stood next to me and looked at what I was adding to my cup.
"What?" I asked laughing and not looking at him.
"I want to see why you love your froyo so much"
"Okay," I said preparing myself to explain, "After I have my yogurt, I add yogurt drops" I was saying when he interrupted me.
"Why more yogurt?" He asked laughing.
"Cause they're crunchy and they taste delicious. Can I keep going?" He nodded.
"Then I add crushed oreos. Next is crushed butterfingers, it gives it a salty touch. And finally some almonds." We moved to the next part.
"What do you get from here?" He asked me.
"Cheesecake bites, I looooooove cheesecake. I like to add some cookie dough and strawberries. This is my favorite thing in the world" I sounded like a little kid.
Everyone finished getting their froyo and we went out.
"Froyo is life!!!" Alice said really really loud.
"Wooohooooo!" and we all started laughing and talking.
"Alaska, you look hot on your motorcycle" Roger said looking at Seattle.
"Stop it Roger" Seattle told him with anger in his voice.
"Why, you jealous?" Jimmy asked.
"Probably" Seattle told them. And everyone got quiet.
