Stella's POV:
Ugh its 7:30 already?! I got up out of bed that Saturday just like any other day, the only thing I did differently was not shower because I was already half an hour behind schedule. I had to be at Sarah’s house in 15 minutes! I threw on a pair of light wash ripped denim shorts and a royal blue silk tank top. I threw my hair in a messy bun on the top of my head, put on some mascara, grabbed my gold Ray Bans, black Marc Jacobs purse and my keys and ran out of the house all while trying to slip my feet into my gold sandals…that was a task and a half…I screamed bye to my mom, dad and brother who were all still in bed and headed out the door. I got into my car and checked the time, 7:45, perfect I still have time to stop at Starbucks and grab my favourite summer drink, non-fat iced caramel macchiato. Boy was I ever in need of a coffee right now, I was supposed to film my cover of Young and Beautiful by Lana Del Ray and post it to YouTube all before 10:00am. Best Song Ever by One Direction came on the radio and I freaked out! I turned the volume way up and rolled down my windows and sang along to the catchy song. I was a huge One Direction fan, I had been to one of their concerts before in Toronto and it was such an amazing experience. I was 100% a Harry girl; there was just something about his eyes that made me fall for him. As I pulled into Sarah’s driveway, the song ended, perfect timing! I got out of the car and headed for the door. When I got to the basement I greeted Sarah with a warm hug and sat down to start my vocal warm ups. About 45 minutes later I was ready to film. I sat in front of the camera and greeted my viewers the way I did at the beginning of all my videos. With a huge smile I began by saying “Hey guys! How are you?” knowing that there wouldn’t be a response to my question, I laughed and continued with my intro. Once I was done speaking, the music started playing and I began to sing. I loved this song so much, it had such a powerful sound and I loved the way I felt when I sang it. When the song was over, I thanked my viewers for watching and Sarah ended the video. I stood up from the stool that I was sitting on and looked at Sarah hinting at her to tell me how I did. She stared at me with wide eyes and I could swear I saw a tear fall down her cheek. Was she crying? Was I that awful? She opened her mouth to speak but she couldn’t get words out. I closed my eyes and braced myself for her criticism. Again there was nothing but silence. I had to say something. “Come on Sarah, say something!” I urged her. “Stella, that was without a doubt the best cover that you have ever done, you put me at a loss for words and you brought tears to my eyes. I have a good feeling about this one.” Sarah said. I looked at her and now I was the one who couldn’t speak! I just looked at her and hugged her and she pointed to the computer to get the video uploaded. Once the video was uploaded I got up thanked Sarah about 1000 times like I did every week and just as I was about to leave, she looked at me and said “Stella, you amaze me every week and I have never been more proud of you, good things will come your way in time, I promise you.” I left there with the biggest smile on my face. I had a busy day ahead of me, I had to get a few things from the grocery store for my mom, then stop in at work and grab my paycheck, then I had to pick up my best friend Cristina from her house which was just down the street from me. We were going to go to the mall and do some shopping, then grab dinner and go see a late movie. When I got back home, I put away all the groceries and by then my family was all awake, after all it was 11:45am. My whole family was sitting at the kitchen table. My mom was in tears, I couldn’t read my brothers expression and my dad just sat there in silence with his hand on his heart. They had just finished watching something on the iPad. Curious to see what the video was when I looked at the iPad I saw myself on the screen. They were watching my Young and Beautiful cover. Was it really that good? I mean I felt pretty confident but I didn’t think that I would get this type of reaction…I checked the views and there was already 21,509 views. I had just uploaded it an hour and a half ago?! All at once my family spoke. “Stella that was beautiful” “That was the best cover you’ve done” “You are truly amazing Stella” I just looked at them and burst into tears! I grabbed them all in a hug and of course I felt my brother trying to squirm out of it. Moment ruined Alex..thank you. He was 20 years old and the most protective older brother in the world. That being said, he was also the most immature and annoying 20 year old. He was constantly driving me nuts. Anyways, I had to go! I was supposed to pick up Cristina at 1:00pm and it was already 12:20pm and I hadn’t even gone to pick up my paycheck yet! I ran up to my room and grabbed at crème coloured slouchy cardigan out of my closet and threw it in my purse. I swiped a nude lipgloss over my lips and put that in my purse and went back downstairs to say bye to my family. I told my mom the rest of my plans for the day and she told me to text her throughout the day in case my plans changed. I grabbed a cold bottle of water out of the fridge and headed for the door, yelling ciao to my family. I got in my car and immediately rolled the windows down, it was such a June afternoon that of course I had to drive with my windows down. I stopped in at work got my paycheck and headed back out to pick up Cristina. When she got in the car she looked at me and started to cry! Worry flashed over me “Cristi, whats wrong baby?” and all she could get out was “Stel, you’re amazing, Young and Beautiful was SO GOOD!” I grabbed her into a warm hug and thanked her a thousand times. I looked at her and said “Okay no more tears! Its shopping time!” When we pulled into our local mall, we headed straight for Victoria Secret. I was DESPERATELY in need of a new bra and bathing suit! I tried on 2 bras and 2 bathing suits and all of them fit me perfectly so I of course I had to get all 4…I paid and left the store to meet Cristina at Top shop. When I walked into the store there were a few girls to my right trying on sunglasses when they all turned and looked at me and screamed “OMG ITS STELLA FROM YOUTUBE!” They ran towards me and I smiled at them kindly and gave them hugs, being Italian, it’s all about the hugs and kisses! I asked them their names and I spoke to them for about 10 minutes before going to the change room to check on Cristina. I love meeting viewers I thought to myself as I walked into the change room. I immediately saw Cristina trying on what looked like all of Top Shop…I rolled my eyes and giggled at her. I told her I would be in the store looking around. I found a few things for myself of course. I found 4 tops, 1 crème coloured knit jumper, 1 lavender tank top with a gold zipper at the back, 1 silk coral t-shirt that was really flowy and pretty, and 1 black tank top with a leather pocket on the right boob, then I found 1 black maxi skirt with a slit down the left leg starting just above the right knee, and then I also picked out a multi-coloured maxi dress with spaghetti strap sleeves. I went to the cash to pay and thankfully all the items I had chosen were from the sale rack. I paid a total of $84.50. I pulled out my black shiny credit card and paid for my items. I thanked the sales woman and left the store. Cristina was waiting for me at the front. We walked out and both agreed that neither of us needed to spend any more money. We got into my car and headed to the cinema, the whole time we talked about how much I loved Harry, we sang along to my One Direction cd that was in my car, and talked about how Cristina’s ex left her for the sluttiest girl we knew. She was such a kind and sweet girl and I didn’t get how anyone could do that to her! We spent the rest of the night watching the movie and after I dropped her off at her house and headed home. I was exhausted! It was 12:30am and both my parents were asleep. The only person still up was my brother. I went into his room and we talked for a bit before I went to my room. I turned on my shower and let the steam fill up before I got in. I washed my hair with my coconut shampoo and washed my body with my peppermint body wash. I got out and rubbed my favourite peppermint body butter all over my body. I put on a clean pair of pyjamas and jumped into my bed. I pulled my phone out and began looking through twitter. I had 3,000+ mentions, what is happening..? I checked my home page and saw that I had a tweet from the 1 and only SIMON COWELL! Why would he tweet me? I mean I didn’t tweet anything to him first! I checked what he had said to me and I had to read it over twice to make sure I was seeing it correctly, “@StellaStar You have an incredible voice and I would love to meet you and hear you in person, I can see big things for your future!” was I dreaming? I decided I would check YouTube to see how many views and comments there were on my latest video. When I opened the page to see my Young and Beautiful cover, I was absolutely shocked at the amount of views there were. 1,245,983 views! Was that even possible? I couldn’t believe it! I was so happy and I had to tell someone! The only problem was that it was past 1:00 in the morning. I decided I would go to sleep and face it all again in the morning.
