Stella’s POV:

Lou and I are seated quickly at the restaurant. It’s fancy here, the table cloths are black and all the plates and utensils are black and silver. “You picked quite the restaurant Lou.” I tell her. “They have the best food here, I love coming to this place when I’m in LA.” She tells me. The waiter hands us our menus and I order water while Lou orders a glass of red wine. “Alright, so tell me, what happened?” she asks. “Okay, where do I begin? So today after Ellen, Cristina tells me that she ran into Mason this morning.” I begin. “Wait Mason, your ass of an ex-boyfriend, Mason?” she asks. “Yes, that’s the one. Anyways, Cristina went out early this morning to grab coffees and she ran into him. She didn’t say anything to her so when she told me in the change room at Ellen, I figured he was just here on vacation. But when we got back to the hotel, he was waiting in the lobby for me. He came because he knew I was here, he wants to talk to me.” I tell her. “Oh my God, I bet Harry’s furious.” She says. “Yeah….” I trail off. “Please tell me you told him.” She says. “No, he has no idea. I told Mason that we have nothing to talk about and then I left, I didn’t tell Harry because I don’t want him to worry and I know that if I tell him he will just get angry.” I explain. “And you think by not telling him, that he won’t be angry should he find out?” she asks raising an eyebrow. “Well, I don’t know, I was just trying to do the right thing. I have no interest in talking to Mason he has nothing to worry about.” I try to explain. “I understand that love, but what if one of his ex-girlfriends was in town and he didn’t tell you about it, how angry and hurt would you be? I know it’s not my place but I really think you owe it to him to tell him about Mason’s little visit.” She says taking my hand. I feel horrible for not telling Harry. I know Lou is right. Harry means everything to me but if the situation was opposite, I would be hurt that he didn’t tell me. “You’re right; I’ll tell him when I get home tonight.” I say. “You’re doing the right thing Stella.” She smiles. The waiter comes back and takes our order and we spend the rest of the night chatting about our lives.

As Lou and I get into her car after our lovely dinner, we decide on a last minute ice cream stop. She parks the car in front of the parlour and we both hop out. When we enter the ice cream shop, my face turns white. My jaw drops and I grab Lou before she can say anything. “What? What’s wrong Stella?” she asks. “Shh!” I murmur as I pull her towards the door. “Stella!” he says. Shit, he saw me. “Stella!” he calls out again. I slowly turn around and in front of me, a few feet away is Mason. “Funny that we keep running into each other, it must be fate! You look beautiful by the way.” He compliments. I take a deep breath. “Lou this is my ex, Mason. Mason, this is my friend Lou.” I introduce them. Lou’s mouth falls open and her eyes grow angry. Mason extends his hand to her and she crosses her arms refusing the hand shake. “Stella, we have to go.” She says not taking her eyes off of him. “Yeah, bye Mason.” I say and Lou tucks her arm in mine as we head out of the ice cream shop.

When we are in her car she is the first to speak. “Oh my God.” She says. “Yeah,” I reply. “I know.” “What is with him? He was acting as if you two are best mates!” she says. “I know, it’s so weird, a year ago he wanted nothing to do with me, but now that I am finally happy, he comes back to ruin that.” I complain. “Stella, you are doing amazing for yourself, you have everything that you possible wanted and you have worked so hard to achieve that, don’t let anyone take that away from you. You have Harry now who loves and supports you every step of the way. Forget Mason, however Harry deserves to know.” Lou tells me as she drives towards the hotel. “I know, you’re right, I’ll tell Harry as soon as I get in. Thank you so much for tonight Lou, you’re like a young version of my mom away from home.” I tell her. She smiles and leans over the divider to give me a hug. She kisses both my cheeks. “I love you Stel and I would do anything for you, you know that. Let me know how it goes with Harry!” she says as I jump out of the car. “I will! See you!” I yell and run into the hotel. I stop to take a few pictures with some girls who spotted me before I walk in. I ride the elevator up and open the door to the hotel. “Honey’s, I’m home!” I joke. No one answers. “Hello?” I call out. I turn on the lights and there is no one in the room. Where is everyone? I know Niall and Cristina won’t be home until later, but where are the rest of the boys? I set my purse down by the door and walk to the kitchen. I turn on the lights in here and find a note attached to the fridge.
