It was the honeymoon. The day they had both imagined for so long. The trip they had unbelievably high expectations for.
Rachel and Finn set off for Hawaii, leaving Bud with Carole and Burt. The plane took off and they were in their way to a relaxing week-long vacation. Or so they thought.
The first morning they were there, Finn had scheduled a guided tour through the forest. Hawaii was so beautiful and they wanted to see as much of it as they could. Rachel linked her arm with Finn's as they walked, taking in the incredible sights.
"I still can't believe we're married." Rachel said.
"Me neither. I had been dreaming of this day for so long, even back in high school, I was picturing this."
"Really? Because I was doing the same thing." Rachel replied.
They walked for a few miles, and stopped to rest for a while. The guide went off in search of 'the best berries in Hawaii' and returned a minute later with a handful of bright red berries. Rachel was skeptical, but Finn gobbled them up. "Are you sure they're okay?" She asked.
The guide nodded. "Only edible berries in he forest, and the best in the state!" He said, as if he couldn't be prouder to live in Hawaii. She reluctantly took a handful and swallowed them. "You're right, these are delicious!" She exclaimed.
When they were back at their hotel, in the honeymoon suite, Finn began to feel a little uneasy. "Hey, Rach?" He called.
"Yeah, baby, what is it?"
"I don't know if eating those berries was the best idea after all." He said. "I think I'm gonna be sick!" He rushed to the bathroom and turned on the water so Rachel couldn't hear anything.
"Finn!" She walked into the bathroom anyway and started rubbing soothing circles on his back. Only then did she start to feel nauseous as well. She swore under her breath as the berries came back up. They took turns getting sick, and when they were done, weakly made their way to the couch. Finn got some water from the fridge, and they drank it. "Are you okay?" He asked.
"I think so. You?"
He nodded. "Let's never eat berries from the wilderness again."
"Sound good to me." Rachel said. They turned on the television, but soon fell asleep.
Not exactly the honeymoon they were expecting, but they were together and that's all that mattered.
