"Finn!" Carole exclaimed, giving him a long hug.
"Hi Mom." Finn said sheepishly. He stepped aside to reveal Rachel and Bud, whom his mother and Burt had never met. Carole picked him up right away. "Aren't you just the most precious little thing!" She said. Rachel rolled her eyes at Carole's baby voice.
"Hi Carole!" Rachel said. She glanced in the dining room, and saw that the table was set with six places. "Who else is coming to dinner?"
"Oh, right. I forgot to tell you. Kurt is coming home, and he invited Blaine over, too."
"Sounds like fun!" Finn said. As if on cue, the doorbell rang.
"Merry Christmas Eve!" Blaine greeted everyone.
"Same to you, bro." Finn exclaimed, giving him a fist bump.
Kurt came in after him, carrying a bunch of boxes. "Thanks for helping." He grunted sarcastically.
"Sorry, Kurt." Rachel said, taking a few boxes from him.
As soon as everybody was seated for dinner, Burt came home from work. "Hey, sorry I'm -- Finn!" He exclaimed, giving Finn a hug. "Good to see ya. I mean it. Really."
"Yeah, uh, you too, Burt." He replied awkwardly. Finn still felt weird about telling people what happened.
They had a wonderful dinner cooked by Carole, and then went to the living room to open gifts.
