Finn and Rachel dropped Bud off at Kurt and Blaine's house to play with their youngest, Harris, under Ella's supervision, and the four went to dinner.
"It's been way too long." Rachel said, hugging Kurt and then Blaine.
"We really need to do this more often." Blaine agreed.
They sat down at Breadstix and ordered, then got to catching up. "Blaine, how's the hospital?" Finn asked.
"Really busy this time of year. Lots of firework mishaps." He said, because it was early July.
"Oh, I didn't even think of that. I bet." Rachel exclaimed. "And how are the kids?"
"Good!" Kurt beamed. He and Blaine had adopted three kids a few years back, and the youngest was now a little older than Bud. "Mike is working for my dad, Ella is consumed with school and her boyfriend, and Harris is in a car phase." Kurt chuckled.
"How's Bud?" Blaine asked.
"He's a little ball of energy. Since he's four, he wants to be doing something at all times." Finn laughed.
"I remember when Harris was that age." Kurt laughed. "It's crazy how fast time moves."
They chatting continued for a few hours, and then it was time to get Bud for bed. Finn and Rachel hugged Kurt and Blaine, said goodbye to Harris, paid Ella, and went home.
