After Kurt, Finn, and Rachel got home, Rachel decided Finn was old enough he could go to daycare and she could resume her studies at NYADA.

This went well for about a month, and she got all caught up with her work. Finn was sleeping through the night, which helped immensely.

One day, however, Rachel got a call at work. It was Susan, the daycare lady. "Rachel?"

"Yes?" She said warily.

"Finn has a fever and won't stop crying. Can you come as soon as you can?"

"Of course. I will be there in a minute."

She told Cassandra that she had to leave, and she understood, since Rachel had filled her in on everything.

Rachel got to Susan's to a crying Finn. "Hey baby. Come here." She said, holding her arms out. Finn immediately leaned into her, tears streaming down his little face. "Oh baby. What's wrong?"

"He has a very high temperature and will not stop crying. He doesn't want to eat anything."

"All right. I'll take him to the doctor when I get home. Thank you." She said, and left.

At the doctor, Finn was diagnosed with an ear infection. That explained everything, the poor kid.

"Hey, shhhh, baby. You're okay. The doc gave you some medicine to make you all better." She soothed Finn, who was still crying.

Rachel, Kurt, and Santana all took care of Finn for a few days, then he was back to his normal playful self.
