So this is my favorite chapter so far and honestly the cutest so I recommend reading this chapter with undivided attention and really get into it for the full effect; you'll be glad that you did. :)

----------------------•••---------------------
It has been down pouring rain all day so far and it was one hell of a thing to have to drive in. I convinced myself an hour ago that I had to tell Cameron immediately how I felt. I was on my way over to his house and didn't even bother calling or texting first.

I turn on the radio to keep my mind off of what I was about to do to make sure I didn't stop driving and back down. The song, "Nobody" by Selena Gomez came on and of course out of all the songs in the universe, that one had to be playing. It was the song that described how I felt about Cam perfectly. I listened to the song as it played and sang it in my head until the verse that really got to me.

No oxygen, can barely breathe, my darkest sins, you raised release, and it's all because of you. And I don't what it is, but you pull me in, no one compares, could ever begin to love me like you do, and I wouldn't want them to...

I pull up in front of Cameron's house and turn off my car. I take a deep breathe and try clearing my head and mentally prepare myself but this was about to be the biggest moment of my life. (At least it felt that way.) I go to reach for my umbrella under my backseat since the rain was still coming down hard, but I come to find it wasn't there.

"Damn it!" I punch the steering wheel making my car tune out a little beep, remembering I gave it to Matt last time he drove my car because his wasn't working at the time.

I let out a frustrated sigh and prepare myself to run to the front door, even though I didn't know the point. I was bound to be soaked by the time I got to his door no matter how fast I ran. I guess I have to confess my love looking like I was caught in a hurricane.

I swing open my door, slam it behind me and run up the driveway soon losing my balance and slipping, then of course, falling.

"Sh*t!" I yell at the pain of my hands and knees now bleeding and a little cut on my forehead from hitting it on Cameron's car on my way down.

"Alyssa?" I hear Cameron shout, probably from his front door.

I look up and see him staring at me with his eyes squinted trying to make sure it was me.

"Oh my God" I hear him mumble as he sees I'm hurt and races to me. "Come inside!" he says while wrapping his jacket around me.

(A.N.: listen to You're Worth It by Joseph Trapanese on the Insurgent score soundtrack. Ik, really weird song suggestion but it's perfect for this scene of the story and I HIGHLY recommend you listen to it while you read.)

He wraps my arm around his neck and then wraps both of his muscular arms around my body to try and carry me to the door. Once inside, he helps me limp to the kitchen. He stops me in front of the kitchen island counter and stops, looking at me. I immediately forget about everything as I'm lured into his gaze at me. He snaps out of it before I do and I'm the one to end up looking like the freak who stares at people for no apparent reason. Go figure.

"Here..." He says with a raspy voice, he must've just woken up from a nap or something.

As I watch him, focusing on my cut up hand, I feel his gentle grasp, glide down my side and land on my hip.
