I had to have been here for a good five minutes. Just standing here debating wether or not to open the door. One minute my hand would be on the handle and the next it wouldn't and I would want to walk away.
What if he didn't want me to come? I had step over a big boundary last night. Someone could find out easily and he would be fired.
Just open the damn door, Amelia.
Before I could rethink the idea I took a deep breath and opened the door. Sure enough he was there, pacing back and forth in front of his desk. He looked exhausted, the dark circles under his eyes were more prominent and his moments seemed slower. His usually straight posture was now slouched, his worry lines showed as he was in deep thought.
I knock on the door so he would hear and get him out of his trance. He had stopped completely and looked up, his eyes brightened slightly. "You came" he finally managed to breath out.
"I wanted to apologize, what happened last was not right. I shouldn't have put you in a position like that, and I'm sorry." He walked forward before speaking "are you saying you regret what happened last night?"
Of course I didn't, I wish I could tell him I did so it could go back to normal. If I could I would bury these feelings and go back to what we were.
Maybe then I wouldn't lose him. "No" I answer truthfully. He was only a foot away from me now, just him being near me was clouding my judgment."Why?" He asks desperately. He wanted answers and so do I. "Because I am a selfish woman, and when I want something as desperately as I wanted that I will jump to the chance."
I look down waiting for the denial. I waited for him to tell me to leave and never come back. But he didn't, he didn't say or do anything for a few minutes. And the silence was killing me.
Finally he moved his hand to cup my face, lifting it up so I would look at him. Those kind eyes stared at me with so much emotion I couldn't even tell what they were. "It's a good thing I could never regret what had happened."
My eyes widened at his confession. He said it with so much determination and conviction that I was in shock. My hand covers his as it still rest on my cheek. The tugging in my chest stopped, the sadness wiped away completely.
His other hand touches my cheek gently, like he was afraid I would reject him and leave. "Can I..." He starts but I knew his question already. "Yes" the Sparks hit me as his lips gently touched mine. My hand grabbed onto his arm lightly, while the other found its way to the back of his neck. He brings his down to my waist and brings me closer.
Just being here in his arms was an intense state of euphoria. I felt as if my entire life a part of me was missing. And he was the missing piece, I had finally felt whole.
The sound of banging on the door threw us apart, in fearing of it being another professor.
"If I walk in, will I be blinded by my best friend bent over a desk?" I rolled my eyes at the sound of my red headed friend and sigh. "Ember what the hell are you doing here?" I hiss.
"I'm going to take that as a no" she says and walks in. Ember stood, smirking at our now swollen lips and heavy breathing." Although it looks like I broke up some heavy snogging though."
Remus looks at me "you told her?" Before I could speak Ember cuts in "she didn't have to, your lucky I was the only one to notice. By the state she was in I had thought you two had a nice shag."
I didn't have to look at Remus to know a light blush had tinted his cheeks. I roll my eyes "could you please answer the question." She looks confused before remembering my previous question "oh well seeing as I'm the only one who knows I figured I could do the honors of threatening him. Just to be safe."
"Ember that isn't necessary" I say but she waves me off and glares at Remus. "So what are your intentions with her?" I rub my temples at the redheads actions.
"Well..."
"When's the last time you've had a girlfriend?" She cuts him off. "Awhile"
"Longer than a year?" He nods "when's the last time you've had a shag?"
"Ember!" She shrugs "these are the important questions you need to ask. Your not still a virgin are you?"
"Ok" I stop her "that's it, your out of here." She looks at me innocently when I grab her arm and start to drag her out. "I wasn't finished Amy, you aren't addicted to pixie dust are you?" She manages to yell before I shut the door.
When I hear her huff and walk away I look to Remus. He's shaking his head while smiling at me. "I'm sorry about that, probably payback for what I did to August when they started dating."
"It's fine, she seems like a good friend" he says, walking to me. I sigh "yeah, I didn't mean for her to find out. I promise she won't tell a soul." He shakes his head "it's ok Amelia." I smile lightly "say it again."
He gives me a confused look "what?"
"My name " I say caressing a scar that was on his cheek. He smirks at the request "Amelia." My name sounding amazing coming from his lips. Almost as if my name was only made for him to say.
Oh Merlin, what is this man doing to me?

This one is kind of short but I wanted to go ahead and get one in. I'm currently on vacation, which means I will either get a lot of chapters in or very little.
