"Are you ready?" Remus asked Harry for the second time. We have been trying to help him create a patronus and it hasn't been doing to well. Everything he does is correct, it's just the memory he seems to be having trouble with.

I know the kid has had good memories but he's not thinking of that once in a lifetime memory. Maybe the memories with his friends won't work, but his family.

Those couldn't be very good though, the Dursleys were terrible to him. But what if he has a memory of his parents. "Harry" I start, getting his and Remus' attention "what memories are you using?"

"Winning the quidditch cup" he says. I shake my head "that's the problem, Harry. The memory needs to be special, something that you would do anything to get back to that memory."

"Well, what do you think about?" I shrug "I had always thought about my mom when she was alive." And then I remembered the papers. "Oh I almost forgot" I rummaged through my bag until I had gotten to the envelope. I looked at it for awhile before handing it to Harry.

"What is it?" I shrug and smile "open it and see." He reads over the paper before looking to me "are you serious?"

"As of this morning, I am now your guardian. Unless you don't want me to, we can just-" I don't get a chance to ramble because he had already pulled me into a hug. "Thank you" he whispers. I wrap my arms around him and whisper "your welcome."

After a while he releases me and I finally notice Remus. He had a small smile on his face. "Now, let's try that patronus one last time. We wouldn't want waste Professor Lupin's time." He nods and gets into position. With a nod, Remus moves to the chest and opens it.

All of the candles blow out and leaves the classroom with a dark aura as the cloaked figure lifts out of the chest. Steadily he lifts his wand and says the words as load as he could "Expecto Patrumun!" And sure enough, the blue mist shoots from his wand and guards him.

After a few minutes Remus was able to close the chest with the figure inside. "Good job Harry, I knew you had it in you" Remus praises.

He nods excitedly and wanting to go again, but Remus and I thought it would be best for him to rest. When we had finally  convinced Harry to rest Remus turned to look to me.

"How are you feeling?"

He chuckles "I've dealt with the full moon since I was four, Amelia." I give him a stern look "that doesn't mean it gets any easier."

He shakes his head, now standing in the space between my legs he caresses my cheek. "I'm fine." The reply only makes me scoff "that is exactly what everyone says when they're not fine."

"How do you know that?"

"I'm a girl, Remus. And that is code word for 'I'm definitely not fine'." He chuckles, shaking his head slightly "I'm doing well. Is that better?"

I sigh " I guess. What about the wolfsbane?"

"Serverus already has it taken care of."

Knowing I wouldn't get more out of him, I dropped the subject. I couldn't help it, I worried for him. Knowing the pain he was going to go through only made it worse. And the only thing I could do was comfort him through it all.

He still sees the stressed out look on my face and tries to reassure me. "Don't worry, everything will be just fine. Nothing bad will happen ."

I smacked him on his chest lightly "you've jinxed it now!" My reaction only makes him laugh, but it did nothing to calm my nerves. I could feel something was going to happen this full moon.

And nothing good would come from it.

*
My classes had finished early today so I decided to stay in my dorm for awhile. No one else was there so I decided to clean up a little.

As I straightened up the covers of my bed a book had fell off of the bed. Bending down to pick it up, the tittle catches my eye.

"Affiliations with Werewolves and Half-breeds"

Charlie Weasley had gotten me the book as a Christmas present this year. I hadn't gotten a chance to read it yet, but it did pique my interest. Picking it up, I browsed through the pages until I had gotten to the chapter on werewolves.

Bonds to Lycanthropy

Little is known about werewolves relationships, but with recent discovery by Damocles after creating the wolfsbane potion, some light was shed.

Damocles speaks about this discovery whilst creating the wolfsbane potion. To make sure that this would work he tested on actual werewolves.

He recounted one man in particular walking in with a human girl.  He assumed that the girl was just able to live with his condition and simply ignore it. It wasn't until the full moon when it had caught his interest.

After one failed attempt, the wolf went into a rampage until the girl was in his sight. "The wolf just simply calmed down" Damocles states. "It was as if he was searching for her and once he found her, was content."

After speaking with the pair and others werewolves, Damocles has found that this happens more often than we think.

It seems that werewolves will share a bond with someone. It has even been seen to happen with a muggle. But they are unable to harm this individual. Most believe this is a similar occurrence to that of werewolves and their beloveds.

These bonds will cause both the werewolf and bond a feeling of happiness when the other is near, and loneliness when the other isn't. Werewolves will become very protective and possessive toward them, most likely to do with their animalistic nature. It is also said that during the full moon as long as their bond is within reach, they will retain some of their sanity.

It is unknown if the same can happen to a born Animagus.

I look down at the book curiously. How come I've never heard of that happening? I've read almost every book about werewolves, and I've never heard this before.

Why would I only learn about this now?

I'm sorry it's so short but this was just kind of a filler. I am going to speed it up a little, so I am able to cover more in less chapters.
