Last night had been awful. My wolf had been so anxious that I couldn't even sleep. Adrenaline was pumping through my veins. I was on edge all day, the full moon had already had its hold on me. But I still never have to shift during the full moon, it's just easier to do so. Especially with lycanthropy blood running through my veins, it feels as if the moon is calling to me.

Remus didn't look any better than I did. The bags under his eyes were more prominent and his movements were sluggish. He still tried to seem
ok to the students though. He still acted like his normal self, giving house points to those deserving of it and making off comment jokes about the stuff we were learning.

With it being a full moon, the class only had to do a simple review sheet on what we've been learning. I remain quiet during the class. I was already feeling the agitation of my wolf, her already wanting to shift and be free. I tried to keep the talking to a minimum in case some student were to say something to set me off. So I stood by Remus' desk, watching the students quietly.

While looking around, my eyes landed on Hermione. She had been giving calculated stares to Remus for the whole class. Her eyes held accusation in them as she too noticed the difference in Remus.

It wasn't until she looked at me when I understood what was going on.

She knew what Remus was, and his actions today had proved it.

I could tell she knew what I had figured out and she looks shocked at what I knew. I looked at her with a stern gaze, warning her to keep quiet. My whole body tensed, ready for a fight if I had seen her as a threat.

If his secret came out, so would mine. And I did care for Remus, so it was natural for me to feel this way. At least, that's what I told myself when I felt this harsh feeling of protection.

She nodded discretely, knowing that I would understand. A sigh escaped my lips at the bullet that had been dodged. Hermione would understand why we kept it a secret. She already heard the biased opinions from professor Snape.

When class was over we started working on their parchments to pass the time. It was about thirty minutes when he pulled out something I had only seen a few times before.

The marauders map

"Trying to see who professor Snape is torturing ring in detention?" He shakes his head, smiling "it's been a long time since I've held this."

"Well come on, open it up. I had never got to see what was inside when Fred and George had it." He smiles fondly as he gets his wand and holds it to the parchment.

"I solemnly swear that I'm up to no good." Instantly, the map reveals itself showing the entire castle and everyone in it. I chuckle lightly and he turns to me curiously "very original." He shrugs "we were fifth teen when we came up with it. You have to admit it is pretty clever."

I nod "touché"

I still couldn't wrap my mind around the fact that three students had created it. But they were some of the brightest wizards in their class.

We looked around the map until our eyes landed on Harry and the golden trio. The mere sight had brought a chill down my spine.

Peter Pettigrew was beside them and in front was none other than Sirius Black.

"I thought Peter was suppose to be dead." Looking at Remus I could tell he was just as shocked "he is... which means Sirius was right all along."

He wasted no time running out of the classroom with me trailing behind. "What was Sirius right about?"
