AH X OC Kids AU

"Daddy Geoff?" Elizabeth said looking up at Geoff. 

"What's up buttercup?" he said not concentrating on her. 

"Will you play with me?" she asked quietly. 

"Not now I'm making lunch... maybe later." she sighed and walked out and spotted Jack. 

"Daddy? Will you play with me?" she asked looking up at him, her big brown eyes pleading. 

"I can't I have gotta get Jeremy up for lunch." she nodded sadly and sat at the table waiting for her lunch, bored. Geoff served up dinosaur nuggets and fries. Jeremy ate quickly but Elizabeth just moved her food around on her plate. 

"Bee can you eat please?" Geoff asked. She sighed and started eating slowly. "See, it's yummy." 

After she finished eating she turned to Geoff and tugged his arm. 

"Daddy? Can we play now?" She asked again. 

"I've got to clean up." He said carrying the plates into the kitchen. She looked at Jack and saw him cuddling Jeremy. Her eyes filled with tears and she sat in her corner playing with her creeper teddy that Gavin gave her. She could hear the school bus she jumped up and ran to the door. Ryan walked in, not noticing Elizabeth. 

"RYE!" Jeremy yelled running to him. She sighed and put on her welly boots and walked outside, Michael walked off the bus. 

"Mi-Cool?" She had adapted Gavin's way of talking. 

"Not now Bethie!" He grumbled pushing past her and into the house. She looked at the bus sadly waiting for Gavin. When the bus doors closed and it drove away, she started to cry. She toddled down the road knowing one place she wanted to go. 

She walked down to the library, her clothes soaked from the rain. She walked to the kids section.

"Hi Miss Lindsay." She said smiling. Lindsay was putting books up on the shelf. 

"Hi Bethie. How come you're soaked?" She asked worried.

"It's rwaining." She said sitting down on a beanbag.

"Your brother isn't with you by any chance?" She said referring to Michael. Elizabeth shook her head and grabbed a book off of the shelf. 

The Ugly Duckling. 

She started to look through the book, seeing the ugly duckling isn't accepted and runs away. The last pages were ripped out. 

Gavin walked into the house drenched, he stopped confused. The front door was wide open and Elizabeth usually greeted him at the door with a huge hug. He walked in to see Jack cooking dinner. 

"Hey where's Bethie?" 

"Dunno playing?" Gavin walked into her room to see it was empty. He popped his head in everyone else's bedroom unable to find her. 

"Geoff! Jack!" He yelled running down the stairs. The came in quickly and worried. 

"What is it?" They asked.

"Bethie isn't here." 

"What do you mean?"

"I've checked every room. She's gone. The door was wide open." 

"BOYS!" Everyone entered the living room all looking confused. "Who was the last to see Bethie?" Geoff asked. They all shrugged their shoulders confused. "Who was the last in before Gavin?"

"I was." Michael said. "She was waiting outside for Gav." 

"You just left a four year old outside by herself?!" Geoff yelled. 

"Okay this isn't helping. She could have gone on a walk? She always does, maybe she went looking for Gavin?" Jack suggested trying to keep everyone calm. "Gav you Michael and Geoff go downtown and look we'll cover round here." Gain rushed out of the door immediately not bothering to stop to get a coat or umbrella. The other two followed trying to keep up with him. 

"Gav slow down." Michael yelled over the storm. Gavin ignored him and kept walking rushing to the one place he hoped she'd be. 

Gavin ran into the library looking around, Lindsay spotted them and walked over. 

"Hey guys, is everything okay? Where've you been Bethie's been here for ages!" Gavin rushed past to the kids section to see her sitting on the beanbag looking sad. He ran to her and engulfed her into a hug. 

"You're okay. Bethie please don't ever scare me like that again." He said hugging her as tight as he could without hurting her. He looked at her to see she was crying. "What's wrong?" 

"I'm the ugly duckling!" She burst out. He frowned and stroked her cheek. She passed him the book. "I'm the only girl, not wants me around or wants to play with me. So I left. Like the ugly duckling."

"You're not the ugly duckling." Gavin flipped through the book seeing the last pages missing. "Bethie the rest of the book as been ripped out. The other ducklings go looking for the duckling cause their worried..." Geoff had called the others and they had just arrived, Geoff made them stay back and let Gavin calm her down.
"They found her and the duckling grew up and turned into a beautiful swan.... Bethie we love you so much, it doesn't matter that you are the only girl, really, that makes you even more special." She wrapped her arms around him.

"I sowwy Gavvy."

"It's okay sweetie, come on Daddies are worried." He said as they got up, she held Gavin's hand as they walked over. Geoff engulfed her into a huge hug. 

"Never do that again sweetheart. I was so scared." He said picking her up. "I'm sorry we all ignored you." He passed her to Jack so he could hug her. Jack held her tight not wanting to let go. They all walked home Gavin carrying her. She didn't want to be with anyone but him. Jack and Geoff felt really bad. WHen they got home Gavin sat on the sofa, Elizabeth curled up in his arms. She held onto his shirt and sucked her thumb. 

"Do you want to play anything?" Geoff asked. She nodded then shook her head. "Why not?" 

"Cause you don't like playing my games." 

"I will play anything." She giggled and grabbed his hand taking him upstairs.

Geoff and Elizabeth came back down an hour later, Geoff's face covered in makeup, green eye shadow and red lipstick and lots of blush on his cheeks. She giggled as everyone else noticed him.

"Daddy is the prettiest model ever!"she laughed as everyone else started pissing themselves laughing. Geoff grumbled but picked her up and kissed her cheek leaving a mark. 

"Only for you." she wriggled down and ran over to Gavin cuddling him. Geoff sat next to Jack embarrassed. 

"You know you really are the prettiest model ever." He teased winking. Geoff rolled his eyes and kissed his forehead. 

"Lucky you're dating him." Geoff said winking.
