Chapter 12

Thursday, 4:30 am

Jessica's pov

I was woken by Niall shaking my shoulder. "Babe wake up, your phone's ringing " he said half asleep. No matter how early it was he was still adorable. I grabbed my phone and took it to the kitchen so I wouldn't disturb Niall. I looked are the caller ID and it said Carlie. Carlie?

(Carlie-C, Jessica-J)

J -Hello

C -Jessica?

All I heard through the phone were sobs and broken whimpering

J -Carlie, what's wrong?

C -I'm sorry to bother you, but I didn't know who else to call

J -What's wrong, why are you crying?

C -A couple of months ago I went to this party and I met this guy, he seemed nice at first, he got me a drink, but I think he spiked it because the next thing I remember was being forced to a bed then waking up next to him. Jessica, I'm pregnant, he raped me. My parents kicked me out, they don't believe me and I have no where to go and no one to turn to.

It hurt to hear her crying and scared

J -Do you have enough money for a plane ticket?

C -yeah, I think so why?

J -come to Mullingar

C -What? I can't do that. I can't afford an apartment or anything if I buy a plane ticket

J -it's ok, you can live with me

C -are you sure?

J -I'm positive

C -Ok, I'll call you when I get the ticket, I don't know how to thank you

J -just get your butt over here then we'll discuss it

C -Ok, bye

I almost didn't want to believe what I just heard. Carlie lives in Texas and we have known each other our whole lives, despite the ocean between us we were best friends. It broke my heart to hear her so afraid. I sat at the kitchen table and just broke down and cried. I must have woke Niall because he came to the kitchen and found me sobbing between tears. "Princess, what's wrong, who was that? "

"that was my friend from the states, she's gotten in a bit of trouble and needs a place to stay, so I have to move back home tomorrow " Niall hugged me trying to sooth my crying while wiping my tears with his thumb.

"what happened? "

"She, she was raped " I could barely speak, despite Niall's comfot I was still crying. "a-and, she's pregnant " Niall only squeezed my body tighter in his arms while I saw a single tear slide down his cheek. "Niall? "

"hmm? " he rested his chin on the top of my head and he rubbed my arm still trying to stop the tears.

"What if we got pregnant? "

"well, it's like you said before, we keep the baby and give it love unconditionally "

"don't you think this is happening too fast? "

"what do you mean? " I looked up at his face

"we've only been dating for a little over a week "

"but remember babe, we've known each other our whole lives "

"I just think we should slow down " I looked away, afraid to see his face when I told him this. "and, if that means you don't want to be with me -" he gently grabbed my face cradling it in his hands and brought my eyes to meet his.

"baby, I love you, and I always will. All I want to do is love you in any way I can. I can show you love in many more ways than that. I can wait princess, I'll wait a million years if I have to." he kissed my forehead and carried me back to the bed and cradled me until I fell asleep.

*10:00 am*

I woke up and got ready for yet another boring day of school. Just one more week, just one more week. I hate going to school since I don't have any friends, which is why I'm really glad Carlie is coming here, I just wish the circumstances were different. I was getting dressed when I got a text from Perrie asking if I would come to the ultrasound with her since Zayn was busy. I completely forgot Perrie was pregnant too. Good grief why is everyone pregnant? Ok I'm overreacting, just two people are pregnant, but still. I replied to her message that I could go, it won't hurt to miss just one more day of school, she said she'd pick me up in a few minutes. I told Niall and he left for the gym to practice for the fight, it still scares me to death to know he's fighting Logan, I've seen him in fist fights at school and the kid that looses is usually going to the hospital. It just scares me that Niall is fighting at all really, I don't want him to get hurt, or worse. I was pulled away from my thoughts when I heard a car horn outside, that must be Perrie. I grabbed my purse and ran out to her car ready to go. "Hey Perrie "

"Hey, all set? "

"yeah let's go " we talked for most of the car ride just catching up on each others lives, I told her about Carlie and what had happened, and about Niall and I's discussion. She told me about Zayn and how nervous he was about being a father, it was really cute to think of Zayn as a boxer and listen to all these things Perrie was telling me.

"He talks to my belly a lot, he tells the baby everything, he's even explained boxing moves too it " I couldn't help but laugh and smile, she laughed along with me, but it was just so cute to me.

"So is this your first time to see the baby? "

"yeah, I'm really excited, Zayn was devastated that he couldn't come, but Simon said he needed to help Niall train for the fight" my face fell once she said the word fight again "hey, Niall's gonna be fine, I've seen him kick plenty of arse " that lifted my spirits a bit making me laugh, but I was still worried, nothing at this point could stop my worry. The drive to the hospital took us past my school, I looked out the window expecting to see the regular, parents dropping kids off, people trying to slip away to skip class, you know, normal stuff. We got closer and I could see something was different. Oh my gosh, something is terribly wrong.
