Heroic or Stupid?

**Ashley’s POV**

“What was that.” Addy whispered.

Roxy had gone white as a ghost. “Was that..” She turned to Andy quickly.

He made a slight nod and put a finger to his lips, telling us all to be quiet and follow him. We slowly crept out of Addy’s room and down the hall to the living room.

“That was Jessie , wasn’t it?” I asked.

Andy nodded. “And right now she could be anywhere.” He said quietly. “We’ll have to split up to get around. In groups of two and one of 3.”

Everyone nodded. “The groups are pretty obvious, right?” Addy asked. “Sammi and Jinxx, Ella and Jake, Andy and Roxy, and CC, Ashley and I.”

Everyone nodded and shifted a bit to be with their groups. “Okay.” Andy whispered. “Now that we have that established. What we want to do is get outside. Don’t leave your groups at all. As soon as you get outside, message everyone else saying you’re out. Everyone, put your phones on silent.”

We all put our phones on silent and as quietly as we could left in different directions.

“What’s the quickest way to one of the doors from here?” CC whispered when we secured ourselves in a bathroom.

“Uhh..” I racked my brain trying to remember the exits. “We’d have to sneak down this hallway and get to the stairs. Once there we’ll need to get to the instruments room. Then the front door is just around the corner. Which, from the sound of her entrance, will be wide open and we won’t make any noise going through.”

Addy nodded. “I’ll text the guys our route.” She pulled out her phone and sent a quick message. “Alright let’s go. CC, you first.”

CC crawled out of the room. I was about to follow when Addy put her hand on my arm to stop me. I looked at her questioningly.

“I don’t want to die tonight..” She said quietly.

“You’re not going to.” I told her.

“You didn’t let me finish.” She smiled. “I don’t want to die tonight.. Without kissing you again.” 

Then she leant forward and pressed her lips against mine gently. She leaned back and looked me in the eyes. “Stop making me fall for you.” She said with a smile.

Then CC came scuttling back in. “Don’t mean to break you guys up but..” He paused to shut the door slowly and quietly. “She’s right down the hall.”

Right on cue, Jessie called. “CC darling.” We could hear footsteps and the opening of doors. “I saw you..”

Addy’s eyes widened and she whispered, “Hide!”

We ducked into whatever we could use as a hiding place and braced ourselves.

“Should we lock the door?” CC questioned.

“Won’t work.” I whispered back.

Then the door opened.

**Andy’s POV**

My phone lit up. I unlocked it and read it to Roxy.

“Ashley’s group is going from the bathroom at the end of the hall with our rooms, to the stairs, down to the instruments room and out the door.”

She nodded. “How are we getting out?”

“We could take the front door, less sound, easy access. But it’s farther.” I paused to think. “The closest exit to us is either the balcony off Jinxx and Sammi’s room or the back door off the downstairs living room.”

She nodded. “Which one’s closer.”

I pointed out the door. We were back in Addy’s room. Jinxx and Sammi’s was just down the hall. “Right there.” I whispered. 

She nodded again. “Let’s go.” We began shuffling out into the hallway. Roxy stopped me to go make sure no one was coming up the stairs. “Clear.” She whispered rejoining me.

We continued into Jinxx and Sammi’s room. When we opened the door, a light turned on and a cat started meowing really loud. 

“Who’s up there I wonder..” We heard Jessie say. She sounded close to the bathroom Ashley and the others were supposed to be hiding in.

I looked at Roxy. “We need to make a decision.” I told her. “Either we make noise, ad draw up her to find us. Or we let her stay down there and possibly get Addy, Ashley and CC.”

She thought it over. Then she stood up. “Hey!” She yelled. “Bitch! We’re up here! Come and get us if you can!”

She sat back down and looked at me. “Well.” I  laughed. “That was one way of getting her attention.”

She shrugged. “Whatever. Let’s move.”

We crossed the room quickly and opened the balcony doors. We could hear Jessie running down the halls to find us. She gestured for me to go first. I walked over to the barrier and looked down. It was a far jump, but we’d make it. Maybe a few broken bones.

I looked up to tell Roxy we could go when Jessie entered the room. “Peek a boo, I see you.” She grinned evilly and pulled out a gun. Roxy ran over to the barrier with me and I helped her up, bringing my legs up soon after. As we jumped, Jessie shot 3 times.

I'm not giving out any hints on what's happening in the end or anything.

And if anyone was wondering.. yeah. I kinda just dragged out the ending into multiple chapters because I'm mean.
